  • Grow Your Own,film!

Has anyone heard about the film going around the cinemas, called "Grow Your Own"? Not a blockbuster ,but a comedy (sort of) about an allotment, somewhere.
The film is a narrative from the old timers on the allotment and sounds a good laugh.
I don't know where it is in a cinema near you but it is on at the Picture House in Exeter next Thursday for one day only.
11a.m. The Big Scream! Where parents can go with babies(this is a regular with all films showing)1p.m.matinee and probably in the evening as well.'Phone to find out.
If it's not on in your local cinema, ask, why not?

yep my nearest one is Milton Keynes - The film had a stand at Garderns World this year and they had a list of cinemas showing the film which was not that long- They told loads of cinema's have choosen NOT to show the film, which I think is a shame. Considering how Growing your own veg is starting to get back into fashion and more people are growing there own fruit/veg. I'll just wait till it comes out on DVD

Yes, I went to see it about a month ago.
Great film, I highly recommend it.
It will translate well to TV so where you miss out with some films by not seeing them on a big screen, this is not one of them. But if you can get to see it it is well worth the trip. Lots of allotment humour in there.

I watched the film today with my sister,Dinah.Humerous? Well it had it's humerous moments but in the main it was a very thought-provoking film.
Any-one who has an allotement will recognise the characters, though they crop up in all walks of life!!
          Very well worth watching though!
