          About 34 in my kitchen this lunchtime. But I still managed to serve up roast garlic and rosemary lamb with roast potatoes, roast sweet potatoes, sweet and sour roast onions, lemon and thyme glazed carrots, broad beans, peas and broccoli with fresh cherry trifles without a moan for ourselves and visitors.

          And then the other half went into one, chucking his toys out of the pram about the way I had loaded the dishwasher!!!!

          I know he hates the hot weather, but really! Where is my rolling pin or better still my filleting knife.

            It's quite mild. Overcast and drizzling. Occasionally changing to heavy rain. Been the same for over a week.

                  It could be worse... you could be here! Unbelievably hot. I managed to do a bit of gardening today, but only by getting up at sunrise. 9.30 am and it's impossible outside already. Due to get even hotter at the weekend. All the locals are worried, as it usually gets this hot here, but not this early. This summer could be unbearable.

                    OK lets all face it ............................

                    We moan if its cold, windy, wet, icy and hot.

                    There is just no pleasing us.

                    p.s I have my own temp scale -

                    pc = piggin cold
                    fpc = flaming? piggin cold
                    ph = piggin hot
                    fph = flaming? piggin hot.

                    Today, as it is warmer than yesterday rates as a ffs...........................(flammin flippin scorcher or words to that effect)

                      I've had 40 degrees in the greenhouse and 26 outside for my records for this year so far.

                        Its rather warm here! Currently 46 in the GH and 29.8 outside on the shady side of the house - no sun there until late afternoon.
                        I'm trying to garden in the shade of the trees but its still too hot to stay there for long.
                        On the bright side, all the weeds I've pulled up and dropped on the paths are frizzled to a crisp so I can use them as mulch/compost

                          33.3 on the north side of the house in the shade. I'm off to the supermarket they are air conditioned!

                            About an hour ago it was blue skies and 20+ degrees here. Now very grey and overcast and the temperature has dropped to high teens. Looks like rain is on it's way...

                                Today was a siesta day, stay indoors in the shade with big fan this afternoon, out at 8-30pm to a cool breeze to get the watering done.
