                You guys...

29 sleeps till hols. We're driving from Cumbria to Essex, staying a day with grandparents, then taking Eurotunnel to La France and driving down to the grandparent's other house in the middle of Brittany. Apart from the long drives with two boys under 6, we're really looking forward to it. They've got a big garden and one of those freestanding pools. The village has a bakery (fresh croissants for breakfast!), a pharmacy (useful for the way our two boys play....) a large park with a play area and quiet streets to wander and explore. The house is higgledypiggledy with two staircases, 3 loos, and many, many places for hide and seek.

1bee - when we were small we'd drive to Spain for the summer. Mum would put together a carrier bag each morning with drinks, snacks, books, toys etc - and change it up as much as she could each day. We'd all have our own sat on our seat ready for us when we got in the car. I loved it - it kept me occupied for hours!

Although kids these days might be looking for an i pad rather than a puzzle book

Could anyone tell me if Llandudno is a good place to have a holiday in October, and if not where would you recommend, bearing in mind it can't be hilly or far walks
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I'd say if you want beaches and no hills in October the East Coast offers a bunch of options from Berwick down to Great Yarmouth. Bridlington Sands springs to mind and you have York as a day trip distraction if it's really bad weather.
