The picture makes it look a little bigger than it really is. It's called a sub-compact tractor but it's basically a garden tractor on steroids.

I don't have it yet. It has been ordered. I'm a little bit excited.

I have a utility tractor but it weighs over 3,500 pounds and has agricultural tires so it's not kind to the lawn. I use it a lot on the fields but not on the lawn.

This little guy will be new and under warranty so I shouldn't have to do any wrench (spanner?) work on it for quite some time like I do with my 1969 Ford 3000.

I plan to haul mulch, blow snow, maintain the gravel driveway (250'+), dig holes for planting more trees and shrubs, mow the lawn, etc. I'll have to add some implements. A mowing deck comes with it. I think it will get even more use than my Ford.

Life is too short not to buy another tractor now and then.

I've seen Kubota at some of the agricultural shows. Spent ages talking to salesmen about them, pretending I was in position to buy one. Fancy having one to go to the shops as I think some are street-legal here.

When I get it I'll try to upload some pictures of it in actual use. I haven't done videos before but maybe someone in my family with a smart phone (that would be everyone but me) can be talked into making a video for me.

I've got a customer who's getting something similar. If you've got the land which you have then it's well worth it.

The fact it's also great fun is just an added bonus

A UTV (4 wheel utility version of an ATV I think) might be more popular but this Kubota can do quite a bit of real work.

I mowed around the edge of the property and the pond Monday with the Ford. I need to take off the rotary mower and put on the sickle bar mower so it will hang over the edge of the pond and cut down some cattails and weeds. They have gotten out of control (due to my neglect). So consider these before pictures and I hope to have the after pictures this weekend.

They are street legal here. Slow moving vehicle sign, headlights, turn signals, hazard/warning lights, etc. I don't think they have a horn though ... nor windshield wipers.

Like it DW. I have an old Iseki TX1500 sub compact tractor. I don't need it for the growing space I have, but thats doesn't stop me.

Over here we can get decent implements from Eastern Europe at sensible prices as well as some cheap chinese made stuff for non commercial use. All I've got is a rotavator, a single bottom plough, a sub soiler, a link/carry box and a trailer. But it is amazing the small uses I can find for it now and then.

We don't suffer deep snow so a cab is not essential, It's great for gathering organic mass in the form of chopped weeds, autumn leaves, grass cuttings etc.

I've discovered I can stick weld (It's a bit blobby but functional). So I shall be making one or two Implements from collected scrap. On the list is a large rake to gather grass/leaves and some sort of Mini crane Jib to go on the hydralics at the back.



As I said i don't need it for the land I have, but fun most be had somewhere Eh?

I use three varying sizes of Kubota tractors at work. Joy of joys, I've got to drive the biggest on the road for about seven mile between sites tomorrow afternoon, avoiding rushhour............very embarrassing when you've got a convoy of cars half a mile long behind you!
