After last weeks cancelled hill walk due to the weather, I thought I'd try today, BBC said "light winds and showers", for that read howling gales that almost took me off my feet(even after losing a lot of weight I'm still almost 16 stones) and horizontal walls of water at 3000 feet lol. When the clouds did part the view was stunning though a tad cool with the wind, I sat at the cairn at the top of Broad Cairn, in the Cairngorms and there was a bit of sleet in the rain, good grief it's only September. Hill Hares bouncing around, which was nice as they've been culling them for some pointless reason(I nearly swore, but I'm supposed to set an example) and a few Red Grouse have dodged the guns, no Eagle today, it could have been sat on my head and I wouldn't have seen it as the visibility was less than a 100 yards/metres at times lol.
When I got home and tried to get out of the car, my legs had seized up, severely out of condition for mountain climbing these days.
This is from the summit looking down onto Loch Muick below 998 metres below
