  • Good morning all.
    Bright and breezy here.
A cold breeze at 5 reg but no complaints after last week's weather.
Hope to sow some seeds later today.
    Have a good day all.

    • Morning all. No snow overnight and yayyyyyy, we have shiney. Dazzling against the lying snow but lovely to see. Sowed my show celery yesterday and Tomatoes will be sown today. It's so frustrating being held back by the weather but we have to work with what we get.

      have a nice day y'all :0

Poor old Landy is only fit to do 1km back and forth occasionally ( it changes gear on it's own!)
By this evening it'L have covered 75 km...if it doesn't break down first

        • ^Ouch, ouch and more ouch. I hope neither is bank-breaking.

Dry day here today. More drizzle due tomorrow and for the next few days. But it's starting to feel like the season is moving on. Had a look in some of my seed modules/whatever-you-call-ums. Looks like some lettuce I gave up on last year has decided now is the time to shake a leg and show a leaf. At least, I think they're lettuce.

Hope we get a dry spell soon. I still haven't planted my garlic... (hangs head in shame).

              • Morning, FF and all. Cloudy here at the moment. Mr Snoop tells me we're due a "weather bomb" in Spain this weekend. As far as I can tell, the worst of it might just skim north and east of us. Don't fancy a bomb of any variety.

Tried to remove some bits of weed matter from my garlic bed yesterday. Didn't look like it would take me long, but snaking throughout the bed are loads of couch grass roots. Sneaky stuff. So, no no-dig there at least.

Right, busy, busy today. Sent in some work already (couldn't sleep). About to head off into town to collect the post and to go to the bank to pay for the hives. I could do it online, except while I was away some time last year, Mr Snoop found my little device to randomly calculate codes, thought it was a remote control for a radio or some such, removed it from its safe place and put it somewhere else, who knows where. Assuming, of course, that the bank is open. I got a lady banker (as Graham Parker did not sing) and maybe she'll be on strike today, though that's very unlikely here in small-village Spain. Anyone with a job will do their utmost to hang on to it, regardless of gender.

Right, catch you laters everyone. Have a good day, whatever you're up to.

                  • Morning All, no snow here either, just a bit of rain. Snoops, Mexican marigolds worked for me at keeping couch at bay from next doors. The roots are said to give off exudates that deter couch.

                    • Morning Crew - Looks like a nice sunny day here today, I may try and get some seed sown if it holds up. Yesterday I cut the planting membrane for my Catawissa Walking Onions.

I do love making these with the soldering iron, you can see the silver paint pen guidance lines and ticks setting out then I use the lid from a jar of Pickles that has a nice beveled edge to draw the circles lining up the guidance lines drawn on the inside of the lid.

                        • Morning all. Lovely shiney again but the snow hasn't shrunk at aĺl overnight . Weather forecast grim for the weekend and we have a 3 hour each way journey to make on Saturday. At least no snow clearing to do today which is a big plus. Now what's next for sowing? My heated bench is getting a bit crowded.

                          • Morning "Folks"

Had another downpour of snow overnight, early morning!

Took our lass to work, normally a five minute jaunt there and a five minute jaunt back!

                            Took me over an hour!

Off work with this chuffing frozen shoulder and still no nearer seeing a Doctor!

So a theraputic day playing with seeds n seedlings beckons!

Have fun, and above all stay safe!
