  • Is it really only Wednesday? Not liking these full weeks and I haven't done one yet might start to consider flexible retirement.

    • Decent bit more rain in the night. 14.5 mm/litres per square metre. Everywhere is sodden, but better that than bone dry for another year.

Another mad day of work today and then it's only work, not insane amounts thereof. So that's an improvement.

      Have a good day, everyone.

There I was expecting a Sunny day like the forecast on Sunday and had arranged a half day over the plot and it's been raining all night and it looks to be in for the rest of the day. Bloody BBC and their weather forecasting system

        • Good morning a bit dull but at present dry though it looks like we will get light rain, feeling a lot better this morning, but won't be doing any gardening up at our sons before I go to our daughter's, yes FF flexible retirement would be nice if you could get it, just remember your children can find lots of ways to keep you busy, and very little is doing what you want
As for Snoop it just shows how different things are, she is looking for rain (which I hope you get Snoop as I know how important it is for you) and I am looking for some dry days, preferably when the schools back in, as I have a grandson with plans of us (me, for him) making a den, enjoy the day and pass on a smile
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

            • And a bright and sunny (yup!) 'Mornin n'alln'all' to you all!

Started off misty but it's glorious here today ( *tries very hard not to rub it in toooo much!)
I'll share as much of it as I can, so watch out for a break in the clouds!

Frustratingly I have more bedding to iron, then out in the garden for me....weeding of pots and a pathway (for as long as my back can cope)

Have a great day peeps, I like your idea of part time Flo....good for you!

              See ya later ...

A dull start here but it's dry and no rain forecast.
Off out to the park and hopefully the sun will be shining by the time I get back.
                  Have a good day all.
Glad to hear you're feeling better Rary.

                  • Evening all. I'm very excited. I'm off to Spain next week. My son has been offered the use of a friends villa for a week so I'm off. He asked me a couple of days ago but my new passport hadn't arrived and was due any time before 28th. It arrived this morning. Flights booked, checked in and boarding pass printed off. Now to find someone to look after the dogs and water the plants. Oh, and I have to tell the bank I'm going as they have my travel insurance and it's a requirement that I tell them if I'm going abroad.

                            • Good morning high gray cloud earlier this morning and greenhouse temperature at 10c overnight, now cloud breaking up and Sun coming through, it has the smell and feel of a spring morning, but won't be in the garden till this evening, as we have the boy's to watch, roll on Monday when they are back in school, need to go and make them some breakfast, enjoy your day
