    • Evening All

Spent the day over the plots and cold to the core now....once I have warmed up a bit I will jump in the shower and then retire to my armchair beside the fire.

      Have a nice evening

        • Have had very long day. Three friends needed to go to the same town for different reasons and needed a lift as our buses don't go there. So I decided to take them all at the same time so that I didn't have to make several journeys. So that's 4 adults and a baby in a babyseat plus several large bags of Christmas presents in a Mini convertable. Talk about sardines!

The wheels that go with the babyseat don't fit in the car even without the rest so when we got to our destination we had to carry it. This baby is a chunk. One of the adults had a 2 hour visit with their children (hence the bags of parcels) so the rest of us having done our other business hightailed it to a pub where they drank beer and I drank coffee. When we eventually arrived back in our town they insisted on feeding me when I at last got a glass of wine. I'm now at home with the dogs and waiting for my son to pick his pooch up. I'm absolutely shattered and just want to veg out in front of the TV but the programs are dire apart from I'm a celeb and I can take or leave that as well.

Tomorrow's already looking to be similar to today. Aaaaaand chill!

          • Didnt mean to post the last one so soon, I got too excited OH came through with a cup of tea and a scone.
We were out for a Christmas lunch today, and rely enjoyed it, now waiting for a phone call to go and pick up my daughter and her boys as they are/were up in Glasgow today, and once they are dropped off I think I will treat myself to a wee whisky as I dont intend to be back out again tonight as there is quite a hard frost here now. Well keep safe, remember its not just you that suffers if you get injured, and dont forget to pass on a smile Goodnight

            • Good evening all.
It was cold but dry here today so we decided to play pitch and putt as its the second last of the year.
Didnt win anything today, just lost a ball and went into a bunker as well.
Cant be winning all the time.
Home now and have had a hot shower and into my Christmas pyjamas.

Have a good night all and drive carefully if you are out and about.

              • Gritter just gone by.

Can get hairy if not gritted. Have seen dustcart start sliding from being stationary. Luckily went crabwise and was stopped by opposite kerb without hitting anything.

                    • Morning Crew, no snow here just wet and dark and 2.5C in the greenhouse. I have a external Christmas tree to look at today as the dam thing will not light up, Mrs C is getting cranky as she really wants to be up and doing all the Christmas decorations but being bed bound is driving her mad.

I'm hoping the new tablets will take effect in the next couple of days, otherwise I may have to contact the doctor to arrange transportation to see the specialist.

                      • Sner. We have sner. Lots of it and it's still coming down. I was supposed to be going Xmas shopping with a friend this morning and lunch with my son and his girlfriend. If it keeps coming down I won't be going anywhere and will definitely be lighting the fire.

Must be above freezing as drive and pavements look slushy.
Plenty of birds on feeders and on ground. Just thrown handful of sunflower hearts out for them.
