  • WE HAD A WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!! Oh good morning all, I kid you not, after some heavy rain it changed to snow just about 11.30 last night! Still some on the cars and garden this morning. Wish I’d put a tenner on as the met office has declared Christmas 2017 a white one.
Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday, enjoy today too I will, love snow!

        • Morning everyone, hope everyone enjoyed their day yesterday whatever they did/ate
Long day for us at future son in laws.
The dinner was lovely, the little kids behaved really well, the lesser spotted Geandson wasn't too annoying either.
Our GG didn't return home with us as she wasn't feeling too well, but apart from that a good day was had.
Our turn today, got to cook the 2nd mortgage rib of beef later. Wish me luck, and if anyone's got any tips on this I would be grateful.
          Have a good one

                • Good morning.

                  Happy Boxing day!

I am shortly going to be preparing my 2nd Christmas dinner. OH missed Christmas with working nights. So we are celebrating it today together.
Hope you all had a good day with your families. I had a good day/night at my parents house.

I've just received a email of wyevale garden centre telling tomorrow they are starting 50% off products. I may pop down tomorrow to see what they have

                  Have a good day

                    • It's not a public holiday here today, so I'm supposedly working... supposedly.

Mr Snoop woke up this morning and said, "We did very well yesterday, not drinking too much". He's right. By our standards, we were quite restrained, food and drink-wise. The idea is that that will continue. Let's see how that goes for a New Year's resolution...

Anyway, my luvvlies, have a great Boxing Day.

And good luck with the beef, NS. My mum managed to get some on special offer at Tesco's just before Christmas. I'm not sure she'd have bought it otherwise.

                      • Just drove back from our daughters after a sleepover, we bought the 3 year old a "fart gun", a copy from the Minions movies, boy was that a mistake, I think he went to bed clutching it lol.

                              • Got home about an hour ago. The dogs have opened their presents. Now ensconced on the sofa with me. Prince with his chin on his new favorite toy. Hollie asleep exhausted. Lovely, lovely day yesterday until about 9.30 pm when in the middle of a game of "Cards against Humanity" I came out of the loo to it all kicking off between my daughters boyfriend and her son. I don't care what started it. I backed off into the office for a few minutes. I then found my inner tiger. Trust me, I really don't do this. I let peoples arguments resolve themselves. But I remember all the years I did Christmas for the family whilst working fulltime and with children at home. My daughter had pulled all the stops out even though she has had a bug for the last week and is feeling really rough. I waded in. I was so angry that they were spoiling such a fantastic day. Sorry but I told them they were petty and infantile and I didn't care who started it. They were ruining a really good Christmas and to pack it in. They were behaving like children and if they felt that strongly about their differences sort it out on another day when they were sober. I was actually amazed that they stopped. One went to bed as did I. The youngsters stayed up for another couple of hours.

I have never managed to stop an escalating family argument before. One of them isn't a drinker and the other one was very drunk.
