  • Morning, cold and frosty but nowhere near as cold as yesterday. I also noticed it was darker this morning. Domestics and supermarket shop for me today. Getting sick and tired of the same old, same old meals, have to have a rethink.
Hope Mrs. Cads. Gets on ok today Cad, let us know how it goes.
Wishing you all a great day.

    • Good morning,

Grey skies here. Not going anywhere today, did all the housework yesterday so going to rest today and probably read and knit. Will be going down the allotment on Thursday to finish of some jobs and sowing some seeds.

      Have a good day

      • Good morning all.
Well the intention was to go out walking but
It's a dull grey day and lashing rain.
        More domestics it seems.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Same here Burnie but it's also lashing rain.
            Very depressing.

            • Good afternoon, waiting for the boy's to come home from school, then I've to help the youngest to put something up on his wall, (I thought that's what father's were for) no matter for them I will do a lot of things, was out with the dog for a walk and returned with a Hawthorne log so quite happy with it that, wonder if I could get OH to saw it up, I will tell her it would be a good exercise for her wrist and shoulder no better not you ken whit women are like
Jay you should try adding something into your normal meals, it's unbelievable how a little bit more heat can alter the taste of most meat and veg and I have heard char is good for the gut right need to go that's the first of the boy's in

Wouldn't trust myself with a chain saw, so little chance of trusting my wife, not that it would be a danger to me, I am thinking about her safety no what I had in mind was a bow saw, that's what I use,..... it's cheaper to run
I hope it's back to Britain for a holiday, if so enjoy time with your family, and let me know when you are cutting or putting out the cakes, I shall drive down for some

                      • Tesco this morning then Costco with OH in pm.

Lovely bus driver waited for us when he could easily have driven off. It doesn't help that TfL moved the stop further away, no seats or shelter now.

                        Miserable dull day with sub-drizzle.

                              • Morning Crew - Update on Mrs C, we arrived half an hour before the appointment and we were the first evening appointment at 5 and our consultant arrived around 5:10, and we got into see him about 5:25 and he had looked on the computer system but because he has moved from one hospital to another could not get access to all the records. So I felt vindicated that I have all her records in a folder and have produced a 4 page summary of every appointment she has had with all her details list of medications and what she has been found allergic too since she first collapsed and was diagnosed.

End result is conformation of a deduction in muscle strength (like we didn't already know that) a referral to a Consultant Physician in Rheumatology unfortunately the one that we had seen in the last 20 years has retired or moved on.

A referral to a physiotherapist, electrical nerve testing and blood tests then back to see him in two months to see how well the physiotherapist has helped. He can then see if there is a the need for immune-therapies, but for obvious reasons wants to avoid steroids to minimise the risk of steroids complications of which there are many! and which may also result in weight gain which may adversely affect her pulmonary function.

I have tried to encourage chair exercise and bought some light weight bar bells and sitting bike peddles etc in the past, but she never used them. I hoping the fear of having to take steroids will make her listen and do what the physiotherapist sets as home exercises. You can lead a horse to water but you can't always make it drink.

Have a good day people, surprise surprise it's raining here again today !
