  • Gargoyle

I bought a gargoyle. It is intended to sit on the flat roof of my kitchen overlooking the right of way. There were no sizes given and I went by the photo which made it look about 18” long. It arrived yesterday. I think I have a pet gargoyle. He’s tiny and cute and not a bit scary. He needs a name and a grown up scary protector.

It's a shame you can't buy things & display them without thieves helping themselves to things unless you can cement it in?

I’m trying to jokingly annoy my nfh next door but one. This tiny gargoyle isn’t going to do it. I need the same but 4 times bigger. I’ll keep looking.

Gargoyle or Grotesque? A Gargoyle (same etymology as gargle) is a water spout to channel rainwater away from the the side of a building whereas a grotesque is a decorative carved figure often exaggerated in a comical way.
