Just popping in whilst I drink my tea. Happy Christmas everyone. I'm going to my daughters later today and will be staying together with the dogs, as my Ipad isn't working I won't be able to come on to the Vine for a couple of days.

Oh, and VC you can stick the dirty dishes in my dishwasher whilst I'm away, then no-one has to do the washing up!

I've just got up (an old hen needs to catch up on their beauty sleep). It was difficult to sleep with you lot chattering so i thought I'd better join in.
Nothing much planned for my day - pop up to see my Mum later (as she gets up even later than I do) - maybe see my brother - maybe not then back home to play with puppies and eat beans.

OH in the kitchen doing breakfast which will be a full irish with fizz.
Family are not arriving until about one o'clock so we have the morning to ourselves.
It is the most unseasonsble of weather for the big day.
Dull, grey, bordering on drizzley rain but a mild 11 deg.

The dogs are fast asleep again, exhausted. They're constantly on wood pigeon alert. Lots of WPs in the garden at the moment, eating the acorns and my kale, but the dogs are my secret weapon. When I see the WPs come down, I open the door and shout "PIGEONS" and the dogs scream out, do a circuit of the garden, come back and fall asleep again.

Morning all and a very merry Christmas!

We had our Christmas in the Norwegian fashion last night. Walked home through snowy (icy!) woods and have a lovely white scene to look at out of the window. Today is an all-day buffet for 20, so I will be escaping here for a breather now and then.

Sorry for not being around much. Horse now firmly on the mend and I am looking forward to more plot time. My present to myself today is planning 2018's grow list from my sad seedbox spreadsheet...chillies and squashes first!

I already have a headache and haven't started drinking think it was due to trying to keep up with whose pressies were whose and who they came from. I failed miserably but the girls have calmed and are happy. Just having a breather. I am sure I will be about during the day.
