I'm orf out in a mo - see my Mum.
Tell me, is it unusual for a turkey to have 2 necks??? I've just pulled all the gubbins out of yesterday's cheap bird and it had 2 necks Can't even give them to the dogs because of the bones!
Right - play nice See you later!

Afternoon boys and girls, still at my future son in laws, small kiddies are playing with their toys nicely, dinner is nowhere near ready yet.
Hopefully will appear soon. It's been a long time since breakfast ....
Got a nice new iPad cover from our daughter, hubby got some new jeans (which I still haven't been paid for despite mentioning it twice), all the kids had too many toys, but they are happy.
GG is in a hand splint and a sling. Ice skating is not her best idea lol
Hope you are all having a quieter day than I

Ha Ha - VC has gone out so I’m in charge (be afraid very afraid).

For anyone not having the ‘normal’ lunch I thought I’d share with the inter web that I’ve just sorted our tea out (and my lunch and brekkie). Today is baked tattie with mixed salad including cheese and beetroot

The quack told me I had a fatty liver which came as no surprise as I’ve got a fatty body so I had to eat better.

For years we have both been veggies but after OH weeks in hospital earlier this year he started eating meat again. He has one of those special super duper quality? Shepherds pies.

He’s in bed again at the moment so I shall snaffle a large wine or 3 while he rests. He’s off out later as he goes to a mental health support group that runs Monday and Thursday no matter what else is happening - round of applause to them.

I better stop waffling else I’ll get moaned at.

Good afternoon, mild but wet today, was at church for the Christmas service this morning then up to see the grandchildren, one of them got a set of drums an other an electric guitar and amplifier, just getting ready to go to our sons for dinner with a bit of luck the drum set will be out the way and the guitar will be left at home, one of the family are going to hospital later in the week so asked if I wanted more batteries for the hearing aid, no thanks
Keep safe and have have a good Christmas Folks

I think the necks are summat they try to get rid of as no one uses them. Some poor sod who DID want a neck will be in the shop complaining tomorow!

Thats the beauty of a turkey crown, necks not included!

Afternoon everyone, leisurely start to the morning with our 7.30 wake up from the baby and stockings while mummy fed baby, then breakfast and down to the in laws farm for pressies and buffet, I've left them cooing over small child to come back to put the veg on for dinner for 10 this evening. Hope everyone is having a good day, I'm enjoying a bit of peace and a bulldog gin and fever tree, cheers.

Not sure what a fever tree is but sounds like it would go well with gin (I'm not allowed gin for some reason)...

Fever tree is tonic water as the quinine in it was supposed to stop/help malaris. x

^^^ well i knew about tonic water and malaria - believe there's some truth to it - but "fever tree" is new to me.

I just had a quick google to do a Christmas update to my avatar - sureley a similar turkey picture would be on the internet...

I typed 'naked turkey' 'into google and got some "interesting" results! Just off to investigate some of the resultant links. Be back in 5....
