Have spent the best part of the last six hours pottering in the garden in the sunshine. My back and legs ache from all the squatting and bending I've done, but they ache in a good way Also, think of all the calories I've burned! I just wish I could find a realistic estimate - the online calorie counter I'm using must think gardening is all heavy digging and lugging heavy bags of soil about, when a lot of it has been sowing seeds and breaking up clumps of compost from containers. And estimates vary wildly between different websites. Still, it's a much better way to burn calories than sitting on the exercise bike!

Watching a bee collecting honey from my Rosemary this afternoon.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
