        • Whilst at the local nursery, I mentioned that the Raspberries plants I bought were rubbish, "yes we now know" said the owner, "go look for some more replacements and pick the best ones out" he said, ended up with more than I had originally bought, customer service.

That people like the lovely Doll exist.
I have a look every day so I don’t miss a new Grape or Birthday.
My misery don’t mean I’m ignorant.

                  • Finding a red gooseberry bush lurking in the undergrowth, that I had forgotten I had. How do I know its a red one? Because its laden with goosegogs.
Strange how the ones in the open ground that I've been looking after have no gogs but the forgotten ones that have had absolutely no TLC for at least 3 years are covered in fruit.

                      • I went to Bridlington on the train Tuesday morning and stayed overnight, coming home Wednesday evening. Managed a 20 mile walk the first day, right up to the north side of Flamborough Head (then back again). There was a lot of sea-mist so the views weren't as spectacular as they must be on a clear day, but I may not have got as far to the north if it had been hotter. Had a much more relaxed second day, slowly pottering along the beach looking for fossils. Didn't find anything particularly spectacular, but it was nice to just have a gentle amble. Ended my trip with a lovely paddle after the sun had come out

This was my first seaside trip in about fourteen years. As an adult, I've never really holidayed before (only staying away from home for work-related stuff or to visit friends), but I've had four short trips away (all in the UK) in the past seven months and it's been really nice.
