Raining, slow and steady. The air is clear now and not so stuffy. Kids might sleep easier tonight.

1) Rain
2) Playful, cuddly, talkative kittens, even if they do keep you up all night, terrified you're going to roll over and squish them.
3) Scoring four pallet collars on FB selling pages, which will nicely give me the extra raised beds I need for next season.

Even though I am fairly new to my new site they have all been really nice. One guy above me has said I'm free to pick as many French beans as I like, he has loads and a poly tunnel full of them. He had a bad year last year so decided to plant extra just in case .
Another fellow plot holder has leant me a tool to help go through my concrete like soil. And another is hoping to rotavate parts of my plot then help me move a green house onto it.
Just happy with my new site and the new friends I have madesigpic

Scoring a cloche like this https://www.aldi.co.uk/gardenline-se...82249199599600 from the bargain bin for £2.49. £2.49!!!
"Is that reduced?" I said. She tapped in the code... "£2.49," she said. Do you want it?"

What mekes me happy (and trust me it takes alot to shove a smile on my trunk)
I spent ages this morning watching a tiny pigeon checking that there was nothing else lurking around.
It finally got into one of the grow bag trays we are using for water out front - had a very long drink and a good bath.
Bimbled off towards the other tray at which point a thrush appeared on the opposite corner.
After a birdie standoff pigeon tries to have another drink and Thrush gets the hump.
It was brilliant to watch these birds chasing each other around the tray - daft beggars seem to have forgotten they could fly.
Hog poo in them every morning, squirril spotted at 5.30 and a very popular bathing spot for the birds including, told by next doors son a woodpecker.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison
