  • Saw a massive V of geese this morning headed East. There must have been several hundreds of them all flying in a perfect V.

A really wonderful sight to see.

    Isn't nature awesome!

    • Finally plucking up the courage to contact our local riding stables (I can be VERY shy outside my comfort zone) and finding out they're happy for me to come and take manure for a small donation to Riding for the Disabled Association. Which makes me happy as I dance with two of their existing fund raisers/supporters. I love happy connections.

        • Saw Hamilton yesterday. It was excellent and lived up to the hype.

This is the clip I saw that first made me think I'd like to see it.

          • Lumpy makes me happy. Because she gives doggies the respect and love they deserve, even if it's just for a short time in their little lives. You're an amazing woman lumpy. still finding time to share your love with as many animals as you can even though you've got your own ..it to deal with.
            I admire your strength.

            • Today, I put boxes of tomatoes (red and green) and crookneck squashes at the front gate - free to anyone who could used them.
First, it was young lads on bikes who were eating the tomatoes like sweets.
Then I met a young family and bribed them to take a tour of the garden with the offer of PYO apples.
They were very impressed with Big Richard, describing him as slightly obscene.

Watching youngsters eating fresh fruit and veg and finding a good home for my surpluses that would otherwise go to waste, makes me very happy.

There'll be more tomatoes and apples outside tomorrow.

                        • That Maggie the Sag has her Kong. I ordered a medium and it’s small but she’s happy trying to get at the small amount of smooth peanut butter underneath the bits of dog biscuits. Thanks to my rarely used rolling pin it’s easy to hide the yummies inside

                          • That Lumpy has mentioned Kongs. Our dog whose about to have her leg operated on is going to have a very boring month as she recovers. Something like this might help.

                            • That Maggie Kong is just big enough for her. If she was bigger than a Staffie she would have needed a large or extra large.

                              Hint hint Snoop

                              • ^That Lumpy is so helpful. She weighs about 31 kg (she wouldn't keep still on the vet's scales, so hard to be more precise).

                                Hint, hint, Lumpy.
