My happy - yellow sticker day. Even when there are few bargains its always entertaining..
Today, the little man with the baseball cap and beard, that I usually see there, came over and said, he'd checked and there were no more markdowns coming out today - so we agreed it wasn't worth hanging around for long.
A few minutes later, I saw him tailing the lady with the marked down sandwiches trolley, and he was pointing down over her head to show me it was worth waiting.

Next I met the lady in the head scarf who whispered "Pineapples 5p - you want? " so I picked up 2 of those.

However, on the way out of the store, the man who keeps asking me if I'm a believer, caught up with me and commented on the size of my pineapples. I felt guilty having 2 big ones when he had none, so I offered him one. He rummaged around in his pocket for 5p (which I didn't want as I'd just emptied all my small change into the poppy seller's tin in exchange for a slappy poppy ruler.). I suggested he put his 5p in the collecting tin and while he was pondering which of the many charity boxes should benefit, I hi-tailed it out of the store into the rain soaked carpark.

The End - until the next chapter next Sunday.

        Which store VC?

Some stores reduce drastically others take a few pence off. Did you see Rary when you were there?

        • Morries - its my local. It depends on how understaffed they are on whether they mark down drastically or in stages. A couple of weeks ago I bought whole chickens for 40p.
Don't tell rary, or he'll be grabbing the stuff before me.

Morrisons are good at marking down plants for sale also. I've had plants from there for 8p

                • I've done it.........................I've done it........................I've done it............................

THAT pressie giving time next month (groan) sorted and paid for - 2 kids, their partners, 3 GC and my oldest friend all sorted.

What makes me happy the most is the gift I get evry year for my friend - 2 barra's of carrots and 4 bales of hay for an animal sanctuary plus a fair size donation on top from us to help out.

p.s did I mention THOSE cards ordered from the sanctuary and OH's 2 PS4 games.

                          • I’m happy because I have my 2 large church candles ready for Sunday. They have been lit only once before and that was on the centenary of the beginning of WW1.
I will light them on Sunday evening and put them in the window sills to lite the way home for those killed in that God forsaken atrocity.

                              • I don't have to go to work today.

Still completely made up with cold and had a horrible day in work yesterday. Had a nasty cold, hadn't really slept, other juniors all off sick/on leave/on call, workforce officer unable to pull anyone in to help, and then issues with another member of staff...

So, I was very happy to wake up this morning and not have to get up and go to work. Still feel like death warmed up, but at least I can be death warmed up at home!
