  • Finally got round to taking some photos of two old boats. There's many many photos of these two kicking around. Nearly everyone that comes to the island takes photos of them. I'm happy with my attempt.

      • Not on this thread very often, as I am very happy with my life, but I do note that it looks like some Grapes are under the misapprehension that I don't like spending money, that is so wrong I do not mind spending money, I just don't like spending a lot
        Why I am on tonight
Nothing of interest on tv tonight flicking through the different stations I came on the arts channel and Andre Rieu, now I could not tell you the name of any classical music but listening to the music was so pleasant as I am partially deaf I can't make out the words when folk are singing, but with music I can here the different sounds and tones
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

          • Well, someone who doesn’t like to spend money posted me a lovely sized day lily tuber!!! I planted it in my back border as soon as it was received and didn’t expect to know whether it had made it until next year....but it’s already looking like it’s taken!!! So chuffed

                • OK, I know the NHS and local authorities generally come in for a load of stick but credit where credit's due:

Three cheers from me for Bristol City Council and the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
And three cheers from my mum for British Gas (yes, really!).

                          • Made 5 litres of blackberry jelly, so I actually have some empty space in my freezer.
Jam is quite a soft consistency, so will be absolutely perfect for making jam tarts. Guess what’ll be cooking tomorrow ;-)
