Grow what you and the family like to eat.
Plus some of the ‘I wonder what that tastes like’.
Sometimes you just have to scratch that itch and get dirt under your finger nails.

Try and make as much of your own compost as possible...and plant feeds...you'll save a lot of money as well as being very ecological

          Dont sow too many seeds.
If they all germinate and you
are like me, you wont have the willpower to throw them away.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Try out different ways of growing.
Gardening doesnt have to be about this is the way its done.
Gardening is an adventure as well, never knowing what the results will be.
The season is short enough so give everything a try.

If something doesn't work out one year it doesn't necessarily jean it won't be successful the next....try and decide why it failed, then try again the following year bearing in mind those problems.
But!....don't flog a dead horse....not every plot is ideal for growing everything you fancy
