    Its the middle of March

I live in 'sub-tropical' North Devon.

    Its the middle of March.

    Its snowing.

Can't decide if I'm going to blame Trump or our wonderful resident weather expert... hmm, who's most likely to read this?

Baldy..,Don't shoot the messenger........I'd rather trust 'Our resident weather expert' than Mr 'T' any day.....!!

At least she tells it as she sees it with a view to helping others NOT just a selfish /self centered opinion
or disguised as 'Mr Nice guy'.
What you see is was you get from our lady 'P' .The weather affects us all no matter where we live .
You win some ,you lose some....We all just have to live with it, but remember the old saying.....forewarned is forearmed....Long live P's Weather channel.

Looks like we missed 99.9% of it!

Funnily enough today is the day 10 zillion years ago (see, I told you I'm not as old as rary and VC!) that my mom and pa brought me home from maternity hospital.
6days old...there was 3" of snow on the ground when I was born, and it was still there 6days later!
So snow in March isn't such an unusually modern thing in reality .

My good lady wife reminded me yesterday that a very young Cadalot and his lady got snowed in whilst in a timber framed, asbestos clad family chalet on the Isle of Sheppy around this time many, many years ago, and the only way we could keep warm was to stay in bed and share body heat!

Snowing here: 20cm drifts in our back garden... not been out but I know from the height against the wall having had 50cm drifts 3 weeks ago.

We have had snow in May before - so no complaints ..

Just got back from sweeping snow off the tunnel on the lotty.
We moved into our first house (on a hill in Nottingham) May 1st 1981. The week before saw heavy snow that hung around for a few days and we wondered if the previous occupant would be able to move out.

Must be around 79 that I went to see my brother "lambing". on the Moped. Grand National Day with snow drifts on the Banff road. Melted that night.

And in the early summer of 75... One of our pigs had made a nest in the Bog (Moor) over the burn. Just when we went to get her, if came on full hail. About 1" or so. Washed the close and was just past in half an hour..

Thought it was supposed to be a smaller “Beast from the East”. It doesn’t look like it, it’s several inches and still coming down. I was supposed to go to a dollshouse fair today so that’s out. In fact I won’t be going anywhere. No more excuses, time to clean the kitchen properly and do some indoor DIY. Oh, and i’ve run out of milk, so that’ll be the dried stuff then.

We've got a dusting that's mostly that granular, hail type stuff, winds still howling but we have seen the sun in between the squalls

Isn't Winter the period of Dec 21 to March 20 (Solstice to Equinox).
So that means that it is snowing and it is winter.
