Cushaw. Think big, up to 25 pounds. Green and white ribbon stripes line these tasty ornamental.

I'm not sure I have some of these seeds but you and Chestnut are giving me names to search for in the depths of the seed boxes.

I've learnt endive is a member of the daisy family whilst looking around. I didn't know that . You're going to tell me everyone knows that, aren't you?
I didn't know about endive ....................but lettuce is a daisy.
The "families" keep changing to confuse us! For example, I've always thought that chard was the same family as spinach so would be a chenopod (goosefoot). However, Chenopods are now part of the Amaranthaceae, which to me are tasselly things.
I find it fascinating though, and the Latin names intrigue me. That's why I like Chiltern Seeds because they explain the meaning of the Latin name for each flower. Its good bedtime reading.
