The whole family is quite crafty but, I think my daughter is probably the most creative of us all. She's always making something, here's a couple of dolls she made when she just turned 11 as leaving gifts for a couple of the young girls in her after school childminder group. They were made to look like the two girls in question, she create the dolls stuffed them and made their outfits on her sewing machine all herself.

Here mine! I made a cake for a friends daughter who likes horses a few years back - stable, horses and bag of apples etc. I've had several requests of the same since then.
So these are my minature apples made out of icing and dusted green and red to make them look real Click image for larger version

Last year I decided I'd have a go at oil painting, I'd never done it before so had no real expectations or idea to be fair.

This was my first effort a romanticised version of my mother, for prosperity I took about 10 years off her wrinkles and about a stone or so in weight, as no one wants an exact replica do they!!!, she like it and that's the main thing.

A good few years ago I was given a birthday present of a faux fur neck muffler. It was much too thick and chunky to ever wear so it stayed in the wardrobe. Several times over the years I put it into charity recycling bags, but always pulled it out again at the last minute. it's so beautifully soft and velvety I couldn't bear to part with it, so I'd stroke it and replace it in the wardrobe.

Last week after another sort out, there it was again in the recycling bag, and out it came again. So I decided, if I was going to keep it, I'd better turn it into something else.

I got out the scissors and sewing machine, trawled the internet for patterns and ideas, and this is what I made........

He's the first teddy I've ever made, and now I can stroke my ex neck muffler and not feel so silly.
