It took longer than expected because halfway through the foot pedal on the 55 year old Singer sewing machine I inherited from my Mum when she gave up sewing finally burned out - literally - smoke pouring out of it.

I found a replacement foot pedal online and it was delivered in three days, then I had to figure out how to wire it up to the machine cable, (no instructions came with it) but it's working a treat again now.

      Endless wonder.

I make bookmarks using gemstones & charms. I also make, at the moment, simple earrings. My phone is being temperamental, & for some reason, it won't 'allow' me to download the gyo app, but I am on facebook (that's why it won't let me post photos )

This is a Gothic inspired four tier wrought iron log store I made to save having to go outdoors for wood more than once per day.

I've got a wood lathe and have made various bits and pieces on it like handles, table legs etc - very therapeutic but you need to concentrate as it is v dangerous - not used it much at all this year - still I've got plenty of wood so you never know what this winter might hold.

I hope he likes them! He is a big bird fan so I thought a little collection of garden birds to hang in his tree would be a fab present for someone that never wants anything!
