A hammer, a steel block and a bit of metal to bash - what more do you need?

Just need to add some jump rings and ear hooks to these

And a failure - this was supposed to be the front wheel of a penny farthing but the add ons for the farthing just melted into a lump. So now it's a simple pendant.

Show us more Jay-ell. They are brilliant
            Love the goggles and locket.

This is my steampunk butterfly. Made it 5+ years ago now ( that's scary! ). It was a prop for a fancy dress we went to. A working prop , the butterflies wings do flap up and down.

Made from beads, wooden dowes, jewellery findings, watch and clock parts, thin brass rod, dog food tins and lots of gold spray paint.

Nice - especially the "dog food tins and lots of gold spray paint"

That's all I've got so far. Just started doing the jewellery fab thing, previously I've done wire wrap. Just making a chain mail bracelet in Rose Gold coloured Copper. Nearly done.

Almost finished a pendant. Unfortunately the glass centre piece took a tumble just before I put it all together -

                glass + concrete != bounce

1 sheet of copper, 1 sheet of brass, glass cabochon, copper wire and a heck of a lot of hammering.

The brass plate was hammered to fit around the glass cabochon - conformity through brute force

Just need to swap the rivets on one of the hoops (not tight e ough - they shall be smote with the hammer of peining) then finish off the back and polish down the rivets.

Thank you very much. I'm really enjoying the "Hit it with a hammer and make something beautiful" approach.

Here's a new pendant made this morning. It's unusual in the fact that I didn't use a hammer.

Translucent so that the colour of the clothing comes through a little.

Has everyone else stopped making stuff?

I've been playing with lumps of wood again

You take one lump of holly

You get bob to cut a slice out of it with the big bandsaw then you draw on it. Then cut bits off with the little bandsaw and start attacking it with a knife

Then sand it a lot, play around with a bit of pyrography and oil it.

Starting to struggle with lots of shopping bags when I go over to Oban. And I'm too tight to buy a shopping trolley . So I made a big bag that goes on a folding sack truck
