Hi. Does anyone work or have info on food standards issues.
I bought a pack of frozen mince in tesco and when it was cooked up there were chips/fragments of bone in every mouthful. I returned the bone chips to my store and to be fair they refunded the cost of the mince plus the other ingredients.
My beef ( pardon the pun) is that the letter i subsequently got back was very dismissive and made no reference to them actually solving the problem. Nor was the product taken off the shelves as far as i can see.
I feel the need to make some sort of report to some food standards agency as i am sure this meat isnt fit for consumption. If standards are so low that that the meat is filled with bone chips then what else could be wrong with it?
And theres a great potential for dental trauma eating this stuff.
Does anyone know of an agency i should report to?
