    • Good evening, it has been a nice day today, OH wanted to do some shopping this morning, then I did a bit of papering again, hope I can get it finished tomorrow I have also started making my raised bed for the greenhouse, and Snoop you evidently don't have the same type of pampering table as my OH has
Well mid week tomorrow, so that gives you something to smile about, and remember pass it on. Goodnight

      • Good Morning All It feels a bit cooler again - even thicker cardi. Did you cling film the half jar? It should be fine, just use it first before the full jars. Have a good day

        • Morning, didn’t have smaller jars Bramble but going to buy some now. Flo, I didn’t cling film it either, think I better just use it, not worth taking any chance.
Anyhoo, hope you are all well. Dull this morning but dry so far. Who knows where the day will take me!
          Have a good one.

          • Good morning all
Lovely sunny morning but only 9 deg so far.
Off out for a midweek game of pitch and putt while the good weather lasts.

Nicos must have slept in...no frock left for her at this late stage.
Jay, yes, perhaps it would be better to use up the half jar first just to be on the safe side.lhave a good day all.

            • Morning all. What a day yesterday ended up being called into work. So lost about 3 hours of sorting kids, flat and various other jobs. Oh and my phone died totally kerput so have lost photos of the kids.

But we got sorted in the end which is the main thing.

The kids are back at school today. A bit of moaning but not to much at getting up time.

Haven't been to allotment due to getting a new phone and setting it up. Yet another so called simple job that isn't.

Well I'm off to work in a bit. Have a good day everyone

Job for today - make room in the freezer so the beans can go in, by defrosting raspberries and redcurrants to make a big pan of jam.

                Have a good'un

As long as the lid has sealed down, then yes. Top may get a bit dry, if you leave it a long while, so use that jar first.

                    • Morning all,dry here,Jay if that occurs again, put a wax film on top, then lid,1 year i did not have enough jars, that year the ex plum tree was loaded,so made jam for the family, all i had left in the end,was a very large old sweety one, gave it a good clean, and put the cooled down jam in it,cling filmed the top, before screwing on the lid,it kept just as well, when you want to use, spoon some out into a smaller sealed container,I have plenty to do,but what ,my brain seems to be on overtime again, must organize the car car for it's MOT and servis, just got the tax renewal,£30 for the year,i expected it to go up,so am pleased, never had one so cheap till i got this, enjoy your day all.

                        • Evening All

Nearly mid way through our month long break, had one wet day but other than that it has been lovely, especially the last 7 days. Been great catching up with old friends and family. Plenty of local seafood meals as well.

Good evening it was quite a pleasant day again today, went a walk with the dog, went over the fields to let her run and the number of brambles that are just sitting ready to pick, I have never seen as many, I doubt folk are picking them nowadays, if I pick them how do I prepair them for freezing?, finished the pampering for my daughter, then took three grandsons swimming, big mistake, they expect me to swim as fast as them, but my shoulders are acheing it took me all my time to swim at a leisurely pace, I don't know if I will go in swimming with them again, they make me feel old it is now cold with heavy rain here so won't be going out to the garden I think I will go and read a book, and possibly inspect the inside of my eyelids

                              • Evening all. been a lovely day with a few surprises. Bear in mind that I was to be working at my last remaining customer's garden and had to finish cutting the top off her humungously big beech hedge. Couldn't finish it last visit as my petrol hedgetrimmer stopped and wouldn't restart. Anticipating it wouldn't start today, I loaded up my trailer with my generator and cable. Couldn't find my 110volt hedgetrimmer and turned everything upside down in the garage and still couldn't find it. Eventually remembered I'd put it away up in the rafters of the garage. It's true tha knows, nobody looks up.

Anyway, got to the job and gave the spark plug in the petrol machine a dress up with sandpaper, and blow me down, damned thing started and actually kept going until the job was finished. Was then asked to rehang a wardrobe door because it had fallen off it's hinges. Got that done and was told the wardrobe had been doorless for years. I thought it had just happened.

This evening, I repaired the plastic wheel arch lining at the front of my car. Really fiddly job. Cordless drill, self tapping screws, pieces of scrap plastic sheeting, thingies to screw into and some silicon to seal everything when assembled. Got finished just minutes before the rain arrived.
