Afternoon all,a nice day outside,son has offered to help,so i am letting him,the hole is almost done,be glad when it's all done,apart from the upside down,i can have a bit of a move round,am itching to start decorating,enjoy your day.

A rat came scampering towards the open back door this morning while I was folding the washing so I waved my pj bottoms at it and it ran back under the shed. I'm getting obsessed with them. Glad it wasn't Himself, he would have screamed like a girl, he's more afraid than I am!

Quite chilly this morning, but sunny and forecast was for a better morning than afternoon so I made an early start on the plot. Cleared one weedy bed and lifted the black plastic in front of my posts and wires for planting another Loganberry and Tayberry - but no luck! Ground still too hard to get a fork in

Lucky dip seeds arrived so I've been Googling to see what's what - never heard of some of them LOL

Well, we have a special weather warning for today on the Spanish weather agency website: tropical storm Helene. Bizarre. Max rainfall on another site is 15 mm. Don't think I need to worry too much, then.

Not much on today. Got lunch planned. That's the important bit. Far more tedious than actually cooking it. Anyone else get a bit bored sometimes of thinking up what to eat, day in day out?

Sun is shining now, so probably ought to get up and at it, whatever that might be, before the supposed deluge arrives.

Late afternoon/tea time everyone. I have had a busy few days at work we have been short staffed and I have been busy at the allotment moving stuff from old allotment to new allotment. Pretty hard going when you load your wheelbarrow up and then realise the wheelbarrow has a very flat tire .
Have been kindly given 6 rhubarb plants and 9 cordyline plants from a fellow allotment holder. He is have a major restructure on his plot so was getting rid of them all. My mom and her friend have said they will have some of the cordylines so they are going to good homes.

Good evening, a dull start to the day this morning, with rain threatening as we went to church, but it actually stayed dry all day, went out for a coffee early afternoon, then back home and into the garden where I am putting a raised bed into builders bags, but struggling with it as I can't get my spade into the ground for tree roots I can't push down with my foot and can't hit down with my arms as my shoulders are to sore so using a bar to loosen the soil then I can shovel it into the bag a bit slow but it works and hopefully should have it finished before next weekend.
