Our this morning rain didn't hang around for long we've been out walking, spotted lots of holly with berries we'll be going back there in the next week or so to collect some to decorate the mantle piece.

I missed doing it yesterday, so today it's been 'stir up Monday' instead I mixed and jarred up my mincemeat and mixed 2 cakes, both in the oven now.
I listed everything in the freezers, and larder, so I know what I still need to buy - not really that much it seems Buying a few extras each month and stashing them away has worked well this year.

So I won't have to charge the family £17 per person - as reported in the paper the other day As if I would!

Good evening 4·35 and dark it has been a very cold day starting with a hard frost this morning and has stayed cold all day, did have a wee shower just before 4, but thankfully didn't last, again not much done today as OH isn't feeling too well did get some wood cut and again turned the seaweed for the birds to forage over I did see some maggots through it so that's why the robin is always going through it, also had some long tailed Tits in the garden today this must be the earliest (winter wise)I have seen them I hope its not an indication of a bad winter just waiting for my daughter to come home, then I will pick up my OH from our sons and I think it will be a quiet night for us. Well stay warm, stay safe and pass on a smile

Happy Monday
Had some lovely sunshine this morning and it was a pleasure to be out in the garden. The chooks were stretched out on the warm paving slabs, sunbathing and preening themselves. Even the bees were out foraging on the raspberries.
Had to drag myself away to take Bess to the Vets for her annual checkup and booster. That dog knows how to embarrass me!
She stood on the weighing scales and promptly weed. I think she was trying to reduce her weight before the vet spotted it.
Had to go back this afternoon as it was Spud's turn. Luckily he kept his legs crossed. Can't believe the pups will be 4 in a couple of weeks. Time flies with puppies.

Anyway, enough about a misbehaving Forum .

I had a frustrating day trying to change the brake shoes on my Ifor WIlliams 8ft x 5ft trailer. Just couldn't get the new shoes seated in place and struggled for most of the morning on a single hub. Gave up. Hopefully it will fall into place tomorrow.

Been a nice dry autumnal day though and now turning frosty. Brrrrrrh

Looks like I'm going to have to hang around for a car part to be delivered at some point today. Said it was arriving yesterday (paid extra for that...hmmmph) but guess what?
Well..I've loads to get on with here so it's no real hardship, but I could do with more milk!

Hibou says good morning...she's set off with a purpose to catch her morning delicacies .We'd be inundated with them if she wasn't such a good mouser -at least 20 a day!!!!! Yup we've counted them on occasions. Good thing is that she eats them so it's not just a game.
