Good evening cooler tonight, started off overcast, but it cleared up and got a lot warmer but now it has cooled down quite a bit, again not a lot done today as I had an other funeral to go to, these are coming round quite regularly, still as long as its not mine you will have me on the Vine regularly was out in the garden for a shorter me dead heading s on flowers and removed a couple of cauliflower plants which had shot, so next year a 'll keep away for f1 seeds, as for the flowers I have left one or two seed heads to develop as I would like to try growing my flowers without buying any seeds, and no doubt that will last till I see some seeds I like ie. cheap. Well going to watch a recording of Hampton Court Flower show,so pass on a kind word, its possible all someone requires. Goodnight

Bad night with sciatica, so up early this morning feeling a bit

It's misty/foggy here so feeling much cooler, although still 16C all night!
No idea what, if anything I'll be able to do today, have to wait and see.

Morning Crew already 32.4C in the greenhouse and the sun has only just got on it and it has the door open, Just had a nice shower and I'm not going to the allotment until after the mums have dropped off the kids and those that have to go to work have cleared the streets otherwise it will take me 3 -4 times as long to get to the allotment and I would rather have that time on it as I have to come back to write a report, do some calculations and three quotes for more work today if I can shoe horn it all in.

Morning all,HOT,hope you get some ease soon Thelma,all we seem to be doing is zonk out inside in the cool,am thinking about when it does rain,the ground is to hard and dry for it to soak up,so where WILL it go to,i have lost most of the self grown bedding plants,to hot for them,even with water,the few i have in a larger planter are OK,the other plants look nice and green,thats what i want Bren,have a good day peeps.

Good morning all.
A hazy start to the morning which will let the plants have a rest from the constant heat,
Not a lot to do in the garden what with the hosepipe ban.
Completely out of water and feeling guilty going up and down the garden with buckets of water when every news bulletin is warning about the drought and conserving water.
I have already taken out some plants that were not doing well so it's a just wait and see game.
Anyway, have a good day all and don't forget your sun cream.

Good morning, and a lovely morning it is, up at my sons with the boys, don't know what we will do today if anything, sometimes it better to let them play at the backdoor where they can cool off when needed. Was in at Lidls earlier and they had just received a delivery of half standared roses, so thought I would buy one for OH, as she likes roses, beginning to think that was a mistake as she is now wondering what I have done wrong after being married for ,,,, a number of years you would think she should know me by now, then again, perhaps she does now I will need to think on what have I broken, thrown out or left in the wrong place, well and that gives me plenty to pick from, just need to pick the right one enjoy the day and keep cool

I FINALLY got my aircon fixed in my car yesterday
It's been unbearable to be in recently.
So...guess what?...it rained on the way home

Happy bunny today....getting things together for my trip to the uk...exciting to see the kids even if it's just a couple of days.
And yes, I'm a good mommy....I have wine for them

Bit sad though cos our old cockerel Au Vin died yesterday...need to buy a nice shrub or something to bury him under

Oh! Nearly forgot to share, but yesterday OH called me into the barn and there, on the floor was a tiny baby wren. Too young to have fledged, so it must have fallen out of the nest we knew about in there. The other babies were still inside so he popped it back in.
All still there this morning!
Sweet little thing...glad we managed to rescue it!

I'm melting. Had an unexpected visitor this morning which ended up with me taking my Ex dil, gd and ggs out for lunch.

Why does dealing with the repercussions of an accident take up so much time. Why do weeds live when my plants are dying of thirst and I don't seem to be able to get enough water into them.

I now have a 3rd lot of old lady pills. I've been having swollen feet/ankles, gradually getting worse over the last 2 years. Whilst the current hot weather isn't helping, it was still happening in cold weather. They seem to be working so far.

I so want to go swimming in an open air pool, but there aren't any near here. We do have the Thames but I would frighten the swans.

I had some admin to do this morning. Last night I didn't turn the light on when it got dark and just closed the laptop down without looking. When I opened it this morning there was a large squashed spider on the keyboard. Oooops!

Morning all. Was out and about early yesterday, was up the allotment for 04.30, plottered about and generally watched the day wake up. Mrs B joined me just before seven and brought breakfast with her so we ate self-assembly muesli topped with fruit in the tea shed

Good Morning everyone, and a beautiful start to the day it is, not a cloud in sight. I managed to get pretty much all of my gardening done over the last few days so really looking forward to putting my feet up and relaxing over the weekend

OH ordered some oak railway sleepers from the local farm supplies shop...half price because they were changing suppliers. Can't believe our luck!
Quite why we need 30 though.....
