Morning, its dull here as well Flo and according to the metoffice we're having rain later on today, if it arrives it will be the first in nearly a month So i'll be putting out my trugs and buckets to catch what I can

Not sure if we are getting rain or not, best be checking as I have washing to do
Garden, flowers, veg and lawn are looking great.
Front garden plants are ok, lawn is brown

Is it only me, or do there seem to be lots more horseflies around this year?

Good morning all and a dull start here as well.
No horseflies here Nicos.
Like Bren, anything that will hold water has been lined up for the past week in the hope of some rain but they are still as dry as a bone.
Must make a trip to town this morning and hopefully gardening this afternoon.

Morning all,don't mention fly's,we seem to be inundated with them tiny fruit things,will have to get some sticky traps,as i not like using spray,fairy is busy,talk of rain,must get some pipe diverters from down the road,Bgood2yrselves.

Still dry as a bone here although not as hot.
Lovely day yesterday, girly time out with my daughter, bit of shopping something to eat
Spent most of today on the phone to my bank trying to sort out "weird activity on your a/c "
What's weird? - I only went shopping somewhere different and used my card a little more than usual????? It is my money you know, makes me laugh
More Redcurrant jelly made this morning, lazy afternoon just because I felt like it..

Back home. Hotter outdoors than back at my Mum's but cooler indoors. Thank goodness. Found it quite difficult to sleep in the UK. Helps that we have no neighbours but three dogs, so can afford to leave all the doors and windows open at night to cool the building down.

So, Mr Snoop watered everything well in my absence. No losses, apart from a cucumber plant weeded out by a friend. Plus, he remembered the instructions to pick all courgettes, so the plants should carry on producing. All good, in other words.

Will catch up with everyone's news tomorrow. Have a nice evening.

Good evening, feels very firey here with big black clouds, just wondering if someone will get some thunder shortly, the boy's were down here for a time today, they tried all the fruit some ripe some not, no strawberries left now, asked if they wanted to try my tomatoes but as well hey don't eat tomatoes any way was no t surprised they said no, and yet the he youngest takes tomato sauce with everything right for back out to the garden again and just in case I don't get back on remember to pass on a smil

Evening All.
Its been a funny old day! This afternoon I was waiting in for a new TV to be delivered. While that was being set up, the Treeman rang and asked if I wanted a trailer load of wood chip.
Spent a few hours shovelling and barrowing it round to the back garden. About half way through now, the rest can wait until tomorrow. Hope its not too hot!
Been so busy I haven't looked for courgettes today. They'll be the size of hippos tomorrow.
Hope some of you have had rain - still waiting here.
