Morning all, glorious sunshine from the start today
Still no rain, might get a few drops on Wednesday, but we’ve been fooled before you know
Spent a pleasant weekend at work and with family.
I greeted our Granddaughter with a lovely, warm tomato in each hand. She wolfed them down
Sunday lunch for 7, only broccoli was shop bought. Brilliant

Morning all, went to a Panto in the big smoke on Friday. It was called ‘Pure Freezin’...a few days over the past weeks I wished it had been It was very funny! Also spent the rest of the weekend in South Ayrshire as did someone else...police everywhere, roadblocks etc. The fields and beaches around Turnberry were full of police. They were from all over...Lancashire, Wales etc. Even got to see Air Force One! Ok it’s only a 747 but...!

Good morning all.
A bit cloudy with some sun.and a little cooler.
We had rain all day yesterday and I left all my greenhouse plants outdoors to get the benefit.
Off out now to put them all back in and check how much water is in the butts.

Off in a bit to meet up for judging 'best plot' and 'best newby plot' on site - these then go forward for judging best in Borough.
Feel a bit of a sham 'cos my new plot is pants this year. So much for being a good example *blush*

Hot again today, so hope it doesn't take too long to decide!

Been stuck on the runway a few times on our American adventures
Can also remember being on stand next to his ‘Trump’ plane years ago.

Meanwhile, after I posted here this morning, I did a quick once around the toms. The big fat ripe tomato I was saving for today was gone. Down the gullet of one of the dogs, I'll be bound. They also like courgettes and peppers. So the only things I'll be sure to pick this year are the aubergines. Aargh.

Another bright sunny morning but lovely and cool at the moment. Off to water the plots even though we have a chance of a shower later....believe it when I see it.

Morning all, early for me to be online but had an offer to buy on Fleabay I didn't want to miss. Blight warning in place today so a bit of spraying will be first task of the day.

It was really hot and humid with us yesterday and I think my fluid intake was insufficient. Got up off my armchair yesterday evening and my legs felt as if they weren't properly there and then I had the most horrendous cramp in both thighs. Took ages for it to free off and then the tonic water and diarolyte sachets were swallowed. (Diarolyte is really for replacement of bodily electrolyte/salts during bouts of diarrhoea but I find it helps with cramp in hot weather). I thought I'd end up with more cramp in bed but thankfully not.

Anyway, yippee, we had rain overnight and the ground is wet. Should have picked the soft fruit yesterday but ran out of time. Never mind

^Good reminder on the fluid intake, AP. Thanks. I didn't drink enough yesterday and must arm myself with a bottle of water today. Due to get hotter still today after yesterday's morning respite.

Watering done for the day and am now lurking in the basement, keeping cool. No dogs or cats so far. Doubtless our dog whose just starting to get on in years will come and take refuge too.
