Hello peeps,spent a bit of time in A&E Sunday evening,nothing broken,bruised in several places and shook up,fell over up the attic,everywhere hurts,plus upset my back again,so thats me out of usual action for a bit,having to rest a fair bit as my head goes cookcoo,seems we got the heat back here as well,enjoy your week off FF,got 3/4 of a butt oh rain water at home,the plot is having to fend for itself for now,be good,and look after yourselves.

Not been on this thread for a few days. Not much to report... Hot, work, friendly cat curled up beside me, dogs eaten nearly all of the peppers... the usual. Could be a lot worse.

Good morning all.
The sun has returned aftef a few grey days.
Out for a walk this morning and then on to the library.
Gardening in the afternoon and some domestics.

We have warm, overcast and humid, what is nice is the greenhouse temps are not swinging so much with 15 degree overnight temps, tommies just coming in now, picked first two cucumbers(ridge type), better half tells me they are yummy(I can't eat them) and also picking sweetcorn.

Just gone outside after spending 5hrs in the kitchen and I swear the temperature outside is cooler than in the kitchen!
And it's hot out there!

Ouch lottie!...must have been quite a tumble you took?
I suppose the only good thing is that you didn't manage to fall through the ceiling and run up a large repair bill?

Just thinking about swimming...will half the local population be in there cooling off?

Afternoon all. Have been to the allotment and broke some more soil up. One of the plot holders has kindly given me an old three pronged long handled fork. Its quite old and well worn but its still a fantastic tool and very kind of him.
Have spent some of my clothes vouchers today. Going to a very large garden centre tomorrow so might spend some of my garden vouchers.

Thanks peeps,the attic is boarded out,with access from a room up there,plus some old carpet were i fell,my body parts are moving,but the old head took quite a bump,hardly anything to see,but by heck,i do keep feeling unwell,and head aches,have to admit the old knee looks worse,so spend time in bed with the window open,best medicine,it is so hot again,have a good evening and Bgood2yrselves.

didn't get a chance to go swimming after all...tomorrow though

Decided instead to pick the plums off one of the trees and blackberries from the garden.....then made some more jam.

Getting a great stock of preserved own produce in the cellar!

Caught a mouse in a trap in the kitchen overnight
Not seen any traces of damage but Hibou has sat watching the cupboard for the last few days so there was obviously something going on in there.

Kettle's on.....croissants warming for those who want any...watermelon for anyone else!

The temperatures went up in the afternoon and looks like another scorcher today, heading back to the 30 degrees C again, happy for the heat just need some cloud cover so that I can get on with stuff on the allotment without baking my arse off.
