Afternoon all. Been up town with the kids already this morning and have just finished sorting dinner.
Only went up for the library and to look for some tins of boiled sweets but ended up getting some more kilner jars and some books from the library and charity shops.

Had a phone call from work asking me if I could possibly go in over the weekend and do some overtime. I of course said yes, it will pay towards the new school uniforms and shoes.

OK, wish me luck guys. I'm to pick up my car tomorrow (Thursday). I'm pretty sure he told me a third of what another mechanic quoted (the line was very crackly, and I do have a tendency to hear the things I want to hear...), plus he's sorted out an electrical problem and something dodgy with the steering. He's a bit younger than me. With any luck, he could be my mechanic for the rest of my driving life.

At last, something going right.

OH has finally booked his car into a garage to get a frayed belt replaced.
Good timing really as one of the boot struts in mine broke yesterday and I think the exhaust has blown a hole.....once one comes out the other can go in
I've had my car 16 years and am pretty sure it's the original exhaust!
Could be wrong, but I don't recall having it replaced before. Certainly not in the past 10 years!

Morning all, knee really stiff after an injection and 'assessment' yesterday, not sure what will happen next

Looks like rain again, but will it clear later like Tues and Weds? Washing already in the m/c on the off-chance
More painting today hopefully to finish the job - I'm getting fed up with everything on work surfaces everywhere, place is a tip atm

Good morning all,looks like we had a drop of rain over night,felt much fresher outside,sun coming out now,
good luck with vehicles girls,thats the downside of doing things yourself Thelma,but once you have got it all cleared up,you can look back and be proud of what you done,i would hate anyone else to MY decorating,i would be doing it virtaly with them,missed a bit,gone over the line,clean it off before it dries ext,ext,ext,doing it yourself also allowes you to change your mind about things as you go,have a good day all and Bgood2yrselves.

Three miles away, they had a 20-minute downpour. Here, not a drop. Ah well, it'll be our turn eventually.

Picked up the car. The bill was what he said. So that's good. But the repair was adjustments, not replacement parts. It's going OK, but no more than that. Mr Snoop is about to take it back to the MOT station, so fingers crossed.

Other than that, work. And keeping cool downstairs, as per. Two dogs for company, no cat, but she's upstairs and is bound to come down at some point.

So, on with the show. Have a good one everyone. Hope you get your BBQ tonight, Nicos. And hope your knee eases up, TS. And happy domestics and assorted other chores, everyone else.

All my fruit, peppers, chillis and tomatoes are in the freezer waiting to be turned into jams, sauces and pickled as soon as the weather cools down. Think that time is beginning to come closer.
