Should have added I am also for a wee (large) brandy to sip while reading, now that is something I rarely do, and it is actually one I bought myself, so if anyone cares to join me you are more than welcome, just bring a smile

Your smile will be wider after those 2..
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Nice choice of frock
I was thinking the same thing about mushrooms just the other day!
We know of a wood where there are a few areas of lawyer's wigs . Not many at a time, but a lovely treat for a change.

Rary, I smile every time you say something like share a smile or bring a smile. Just so's you know. Even though you can't see it.
And to the mushroom hunters, the only good thing about no rain here is no mushrooms. Our land is prime wild mushroom territory. Sends the dogs mad, all these strangers rustling about in the undergrowth and trying to pretend they're not there. Plus, it's amazing the amount of damage they do, crushing plants and overturning soil. We would not be very popular if we were to fence in our land... Plus it would be expensive and probably serve no purpose.
So, on to today. Bright and blue, but everywhere covered with dew. A bit of clothes organisation to start off and then on with work. Could be worse.
Big news is Mr Snoop has become a lot more enthusiastic about the freezer. He's been trying to dissuade me from using it. Till I mentioned freezing plums for crumble over winter. All of a sudden it's a great idea!
Morning everyone. A bit foggy here first thing here but seems to be slowly going now.
The kids are back now so its a busy day making sure they are all sorted ready for start of school on Wednesday.
Going to see my mom and dad today then might go and have a quick look at the allotment.
Have a good day everyone.
Snoop, I freeze bags of ready made crumble mix -often 6-8 x the quantity so can grab a couple of handfuls( usually more) to put on top of defrosted fruit.
So quick to prepare and cuts down on the washing up and importantly freezer space!

We've got a rat in the garden, it comes out regularly from under the shed. I've put down poison, but it has plenty to eat while the apples keep falling and the tomatoes are ripening so I doubt it will take it. I just hope it's on its own
Spent the morning digging the plot and as a bonus collected a few worms for the afternoon fishing excursion.
Had some lunch then spent the rest of the day fishing. I was the only one on the water which is the way I like it.
Managed to catch a trout and lost a few, but as usual it was always the big ones that got away
Got my breakfast out of it anyway!

Mornings!
Chilly last night down to 9C so a heavy dew here as well, but nice and sunny and 20C now
It's been such a strange growing year that I've lost my allotment mojo atm but hope I find it later today
Morning not so good here, dull and damp, not too chilly though. September already who'd have thunk it?
Hope you all have a great day, especially those with the sunshine you lucky lot.
