  • Confused again, rary.
Apparently the older you get, the worse it becomes - I wouldn't know being just a young Lass.

It so hot in the garden that I'm staying in the shade - idly snipping the seedheads off weeds and plant spotting - that's looking for the alphabetical seeds I've sown.
I've found carrots and cosmos in the C bed; Escholtzia in E and Flax in F.
Next "job" is to play "Hunt the Courgette". Seem to be averaging 4 a day which is just right for my evening meal. Not bored with them yet.

    Stay cool everyone.

    • Good afternoon Folks, an other warm day, for which I am glad about, the down side to this good weather is the fact that that's the boys on holiday for seven weeks and the youngest wants me to play football with him, but its not going to happen as my hip is still sore from the fall I had last week playing football now I need to think about what we can do for the holiday period, they would want to play on their Xbox all the time but I am not too happy about that, so will wait and see how it goes

              • Good evening all.
Not sure if anybody missed me but I am back anyway.
Been on holiday for the last few weeks and my garden is needing a lot of attention what with the warm weather.
My lovely kind grandson kept my plants and greenhouse watered and not a plant was lost.
Lots of tying up and deadheading lined up for tomorrow.
Hope everyone is enjoying this fine weather.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Burnie, go to #395 and you will see something even more frightening, or imagine wondering into a back yard in London, and when you start to imagine that you start asking yourself, "would I get back out", or even more frightening "would you want to"

                  • Good evening, just sitting in the conservatory looking out the window, and it looks like a bit of a wind getting up, so might need to go out and close the greenhouse doors, just hope the trombos are safe, think I will head for bed, just hope I get a night's sleep tonight, got a phone call from GD at half one this morning, she was near hysterical, there was a mouse running across her floor, so had to go to her house to check it out, vs field mouse, a wee field mouse, band she was afraid of it, as I couldn't catch it I told her it was safe enough it wouldn't touch her, or she could come down to my house, but no she wasn't staying there, so she headed to her mother's, what I want to know is why did she call me to start with she could have went to her mother without waking me
                    Goodnight

                        • Mornin n'alln'all
Stuffy night here too, so I got up at stupido'clock.fr and prepared some fruit for jam making
Rhubarb chopped, strawberries hulled and I read somewhere to mix the rhubarb in with the sugar for 2hrs before cooking...never heard of that before-have you?

                          Bramble! yey!...you're baaaack!
Glad to hear your plants were well looked after-good lad!
                          Hope you feel rested?

Need to do something with some cherries today.....

Update on the 'dreaded border'...looking ok....will put in a 6" high woven hazel boundary and mulch at a later date. Relieved it came together just in time.

Right...jam is calling.....see ya later peeps.
