Bit cooler this morning -bit of a relief to be honest!!!!
I've spent most of the past couple of days in the kitchen jamming and preserving so oven and hobs blasting away...must be bonkers!!

Today I shall most likely be found part way up the cherry tree, bucket in hand. They need picking, sadly not fully turned black but they've started to split after the rain a couple of days ago.
Going to try preserving some in rum...can't stand the stuff, so at least I won't be tempted to drink much of it!
Freezing and or canning today...

Hot here. Slow start to the morning. Need to go and tie up the last of the toms. Putting it off, as they're close to some scratchy weeds and thistles...

My veg patch is a disgrace this year. Very sad. But as Mr Snoop said yesterday, "Try again next year". Still, at least I won't need to buy any seeds as I've hardly opened any packets at all. All talk and no trousers this year.

I was out in the greenhouse after my first cuppa today, well done me! Tidying up all the naughty tom plants. The King Humbert which I thought was a bush, obviously isn't so lots of canes and twine involved there

2nd cuppa now and then off to the plot for some pea picking

Not sure what I will be doing today, I suspect a bit of everything.
I am tempted to pick my gooseberries.
I always have problems deciding if they are fully ripe or not.

went plot this morning and watered things,think i still got about 3 barrels of rain water left,plus a few dregs in bottom of others,picked another load of BB's,the allotments in general look a bit like the dessert,the only good thing is,even the weeds are struggling now,we pay for use of the water,but rarly use it,i have a little pump works of a battery,not as fast as a tap,but better than struggling with cans,i went to sleep outside in the shade and woke up cold,until i walked into the sun again,just been having a gander round the web,read about it staying like this for another month,heaven forbid.

Not been on here for a while. Been busy with work. Manage to get to the plot this weekend and put up my door to the greenhouse. OH is off work now so manage to drag him to the plot and put my new door up. Enjoying spending time down there(even tho its to hot). Just seen on FB that this heatwave is going to be staying till Aug.

Bit worried about my plants.

Had an upset stomach yesterday when I got home and didn't end up doing any watering. Not ideal, but thought everything would survive one missed day. Today (well, technically yesterday now), I ended up staying after work to get some work-related nonsense sorted out. Wound up getting home at midnight. Pitch black outside, completely shattered and hadn't eaten for 24 hours, so no watering today either. Now nearly 2am, so I am an hour late going to bed and absolutely no chance of getting up early to do any watering before work.

Really hope they survive until tomorrow evening!

Morning all. Awakened this morning by a crow or something testing out his new boots on the roof tiles. Lovely day again but the plot's getting as dry as a bone (). Let's face it, it's not going to rain until the kids break up for summer ... ha
