Morning all. ‘‘Tis roasting here as well
I barely set foot outside yesterday, just worn out from heat and work.
Feel much better today, so will inspect the crops and flowers shortly
Runners are coming along a treat, another week and a few might be big enough to pick. Fingers crossed.
Potato scab in our second bucket. Lesson learned, we can get rid of our spent compost at the local football club. All fresh compost next year.
Have a great day everybodyNannys make memories

Good morning all.
Another very hot day here.
Pitch and putt by the sea today so it may be a little bit cooler.
Have a good day all and don't forget the sun cream.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning all, beautiful again though a little cooler. Hope you are all enjoying the good weather even if our plants are not. Took mum for her cream tea on Wednesday...86th birthday, hers not mine! Parked but when we got out of the car I realised I was part way over the lines so said to her (she can walk very well now) wait there until I fix the car. What does she do? Takes off like a whippet and before I could catch her up she had tripped over a paving stone and landed on her behind!!! Thankfully she wasn’t hurt, just her pride. The unbelievable thing was not a sod came to help me get her up. You wonder about humanity sometimes!!
Anyhoo hope you all have a wonderful weekend.sigpic

Hot here - too hot to do much outside - so I'm not.
Watered the toms and picked toms and courgettes, and that's my lot. Going to find my book about Growing Winter Veg to see if it cools me down!
Have a great day, whatever you're doing - and don't overdo it.

Lazy morning, here, then went to the plot for some watering, then picked some peas and lot of raspberries
Dug up another early potato, but nothing underneath to speak of..... Hope the later spuds are doing better, or planting the seed will have been a complete waste of money and effort.
Hope you are all having a lovely day

Good afternoon, started off cool but now nice and warm my daughter and son in law are at a wedding so we are watching the boy's, had spent a bit of time in the garden this morning, watering, dead heading and thinning out, then once we came up to our daughter's, first I had a door to sort on her washing machine then dead head all her plants and take the dog a walk though by then it was getting too warm for her, when we came back from the walk the ice cream man was on the street and the dog wanted a cone, she sits and whines till you move and if you don't go for one she goes in the huff with you, I wonder where she learned that wee trick, so I had to go and buy 4 cones and sit and hold hers till she licked it all up, watching a bit of football, good to see England doing well the team deserves it, though the commentators are hard to listen to, to me they spoil a good game. No matter enjoy the night's celebrations and good luck for the next gameit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
