Evening all. OH back after a week away so all happy. Had some rain but barely enough to wet the ground. Dog has discovered the climbing french beans and started helping herself, and I saw her eyeing up the peas......
Mornings, woke at silly o'clock (4.30am) and couldn't get back to sleep
So here I am on 3rd cup of tea, exercises all done, showered and dressed, bedroom tidied, and now wondering what to do next..
Still grey and damp, so can't do much outside ho hum
Have a good'un - I'll probably be asleep by lunchtime
Morning everyone.
Been up and about for a bit now. Going to be my moms taxi in a bit, oh joy. One shop will turn into at least five possibly more and the quick 10 mins will turn into an hour at least.
Have a good day everyone.
Morning all, fine rain for five minutes at 06.30. Waited all day yesterday for that
My runner beans are going to seed before they get very long, very tough
So, big disappointment there, they are watered very well, so it’s not lack of that.
Anyone got any ideas please?
Work this afternoon, I’ve had a day off, so feel okay about going in
Have a great day everyone
Anyway, total of 20 litres (20 mm) of rain here yesterday. Absolutely fantastic. And so far not too hot today. So it'll have a chance to soak in. Brilliant. Didn't need to water so had a lie-in. Better still.
Welcome back, Nicos. Sounds like a meal and a half.
Got some visitors and kids coming in a couple of weeks time. Great excuse to buy some bits and bobs I've been vaguely wanting for a bit. Ice-cream maker and ice lolly kit. Amazon prime does well out of me!
Right, time to do some work and then maybe go and look at the toms later on.
Good afternoon all,you lucky peeps with wet stuff, some of my cobra are stringy, before they any size, whilst the blue lake seem fine, even had some lower down, same with climbing french purple, not loads but some, the runners have yet to do something with the flowers, and they only been watered aprox once a week, but i have left the horsetail as a growing mulch,as the roots are to far down to interfere with the beans and spudz, and provide shade from the fern foliage.

sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
S'allright rary...I'm happy for you to glow in your own achievement
Well done.
(I only managed to put on 1lb in 4 days)
I've not lost any weight for a while , but just about holding it with very slight fluctuations.
But...I have lost 2 1/2 stone in 3 years so I'm still chuffed with my efforts so far
No harm in the odd slight relapse so long as it's not heading back up again
