Morning all. Was out at dawn yesterday getting some really fine wood chips from the lotty car park up onto the plot (filling my bays so it can rot down). Sweaty work indeed even at that time of day and my legs were bitten to blazes by something.
Supposed to be a scorcher today so will about end up lurking about the house again keeping out of the hottest part.

Not quite sure what today will bring. We're off out to market soon. Perhaps go for a swim later.
Son and his OH are visiting and my OH has the day off so no doubt they'll think of something which hopefully doesn't entail a long time in the car

Good haul of wood, Cadalot. Congrats.

Not much news here. Got some water up from the well to keep the potatoes going for the next few weeks. Some of them will probably be ready to lift by now. Might have to have them for breakfast when I do, though, as I can't see me going out to dig them up in the middle of the day for lunch, and they're always better freshly dug.

Rary, you thought about a dog of your own? If nothing else, you could blame it for the mess...

Up at 6 but it was already hot then, gonna be another scorchio day
Did a few garden jobs but in the shade now for another cuppa.
Don't think I've got any energy to be doing much today feel zonked by the heat.

Morning Crew of the good ship Grapevine, I'm late because I was down on the allotment at silly o'clock as I woke up at 5:15, now back in my sweatbox of an office with the window open and the fan on. I erected my onion rack extension to the shed this morning and harvested the onions and have them now hanging to dry.




I guess I better get on with some work now I'm back

Morning, I won’t say good! Yesterday when I was in the downstairs loo it had smelt very humid if you know what I mean? Anyway got up this morning and checked it out. Puddle on window ledge. Looked up and wall above window was damp. Turned on tap in upstairs bathroom and the water is pouring out of the outside wall and also down the inside wall. Guess there is a leak in the wall somewhere!!! To all you plumbers out there I’m guessing this is going to be a big job?

Anyhoo enough of my problem which I suppose should be in the rant thread! Hope you all have a lovely day, be careful in the heat!

Nope my office is the utility room/ bike store off the kitchen so I open the top vent if the window at the front of the house and the patio doors in the kitchen are open and I get a through draft and its not so oppressive.

Morning everyone. Been busy so far this morning. Had to drop Hans inhaler off as she forgot to pick it up before she went to her dads, been to my mom and dads, been to allotment and have done some shopping.
Now back home for a bit keeping out of the sun.

I’ve been clearing two flowerbeds from the front of the house.
It’s very very hot and I am having strong cravings for cold beer and it’s only lunchtime.
I have settled for cold fizzy water. But the day is young and the sun is hot.

Good afternoon/evening temp of 24c today though there is still a light breeze blowing which helps keep it cool, Snoop, OH had said no more dogs, as she says I get too attached to them, I have five lined up for when she says "another dog in this house and I am out" but she must know or suspect as there is no way I can get her to say that, and I have tried
