Morning all. Raining here. Started here on and off yesterday afternoon and evening. Coming down at a steady pace now. Weather says its in for the day. Not complaining its really lifted the air and taken the heat out.
Have a good day everyone
Mornin n'alln'all
Yippee-We too have heavy and blustery rain
Ah...on second thoughts-we'd planned to go to the beach today so ours son's dog could have a wonderful run in the sand and dunes.
Hmm...need to think up a quick plan B!
Made our first stuffed courgettes/marrows yesterday -half to eat for supper and half to freeze....feels good stocking up for winter!
Hope everyone has a great day
See ya later peeps!

Had a wander round the garden and wow what a difference a couple of weeks away on holiday make. Some carrots gone to seed, peas the size of golf balls and torpedo sized broad beans that could sink a ship. Looks like my neighbour got most of the strawberries, though there might be a few more. Greenhouse looks good apart from serious over growth of everything, just had a sweetcorn straight off the plant for my breakfast, better go hit the supermarket for milk etc.
It's been raining since I got up, but such a gentle rain that - although it is soaking everything, nothing is registering on any of the local rain gauges
Looks like it's a catch up with the housework day here, plus making some cheesey topped rolls
Good morning and it's raining here as well.
In fact, it's been raining since Friday night so we have had enough of it for now.
That's the trouble with this part of the world, once it starts to rain it doesn't know when to stop.
Everything in the garden looking much fresher,
Taking the day as it comes.
Have a good one all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Just got back from the lotty. Yesterdays blustery wind felled nine big sunflowers, lovely multi-stemmed multi-headed beauts they were too. Not a single stem snapped but all toppled with a large plate of earth/compost round the roots.
Good evening, it has been a wet day today but now quite nice and calm, we had some high winds last night and several of my lilies have been damaged, but no damage to any of my veg, as I have said its a nice evening but a lot colder than last week,so am hoping the warm weather comes back, take care and enjoy your week
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Warm night and hot already. Have done all my outdoor chores and am currently lurking in our basement - perhaps I should call it the bodega, sounds better somehow - with a sensible cat by my side. Work calls.
