At least with all the rain my lawn doesn't feel crunchy any more., another bonus was that the dandelions really shown up well and its to dig them up.
Morning, quite a nice morning after a cold night..well cold compared to recent nights. Loads to do today but in serious pain due to a shoulder impingement so not sure what will or will not be done today.
It was a rather dreich weekend with a little wind but looks as though it will be dry and sunny today. Garden is thankful I think.
Anyhoo, hope you all have a lovely day.
Goo d morning all.
A bit of drizzly rain here.
Waiting for it to clear.
Now the that the heat is gone I want to get back into my walking routine.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
We've had sunshine, which wasn't forecast, those weather forecasters get money for old rope, so cut the lawns, picked peas, carrots, broad beans and dead headed roses. Off to pod everything now.
Morning, bright and sunny here. Mind you it rained a lot in the night.
Took our beans down yesterday. Terrible crop, coming out poddy from the start.
Any ideas what has caused this?
They have been watered within an inch of their lives and fed once a week.
Been growing them every year for the last twenty odd, never happened before
Tomatoes and potatoes still going strong
Day off today, washing and chores to do.
Have a lovely day
Morning everyone. Had some more rain in the early hours so grass seems to finally be turning a bit greener.
Need to wait in for a parcel this morning so hoping that it comes early enough so I can get down the allotment and get some lopping done. Need to get behind the back on the shed and a tree and various bushes are in the way. Means I can get the kids to pick the blackberries as well
Might try to dig a bit as well, just want to get this one bit sorted. Bit of a thing that I have, once I start an area I like to get it finished and this area has been bugging me for weeks and weeks now.
Have a good day everyone
Dry and bright this morning with a slight breeze. Got some chores to do today then another brassica tunnel to erect.
Popped over the plots yesterday after Sundays rain and already the weeds are making up for lost time.
Supposed to be back to 30° on Thursday so will hoe them off then.
