  • Mornings!
I had a plot visit planned but I think Nicos sent her rain our way as it's persisting down Mollycat is sitting on the windowledge thoroughly cross cos she won't go out in it haha!

Oh well! Got some more toms to bottle so I'll get on with that for now, Trashco delivery later - all the heavy basic stuff - a few months worth, means I don't have to try to carry too much when I shop myself.

    Have a good'un

Bit of rain here in the night! Unbelievable. Not forecast and not much, but I'm refusing to water on principle.

          Catch you laters, guys.

              • I'm hiding away from the noisy bitch downstairs.

We're dog sitting a Jack Russell - she lets out little yelps every now and then that sound exactly like the carbon monoxide alarm low battery warning. I was up half the night trying to fix the thing before I realised it was her.

                    • Mornings!

Grey sky again, so a bit down this morning. Still, plenty to do indoors - like ponder the big questions eg why does the ironing pile grow so quickly when there's only me? When I stop thinking about it, I really should do it

                      • Mornin Flon'all
Early start for me. Just done an hours ironing myself Thelma!...just need to get it finished so it's out of the way.
After all the wind the other night I collected and cooked down 4kg of stewed apples yesterday.
Might nip out and check if there are any blackberries in the hedgerow to add to them. Be nice in a crumble later in the year!
Rest of the day I'll mostly be crafting.
I do however have a few giant courgette taking up space in the kitchen ....
And some pears which need baking in a cake....
And a large bowl of French beans in need of something doing to them....
(Ha!.... don't ya just love this time of year?)

See ya later-enjoy yr day whatever you decide to do!

                        • Morning all, no too bad a day out there, third load of washing on the go.
Still feeling sorry for myself, and rattling with pills
Have fairly decent painkillers which do help a bit.
                          Have a lovely day everyone

                            • Good morning all.
12deg here and the sun trying to come out.
Afternoon visitors today so domestics for me this morning.
                              Have a good day all.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                              • Looked up at our roof this morning and thought: surely not frost already. Can't have been, but it feels like it's not far off. We occasionally get very cold spells in the third week or so of September.

Big new batteries for the solar system have arrived today. They rather dwarf our existing ones. Time now to start thinking about firewood for the winter.

Not much other news. Will have to sign off. Mad beeping signals the arrival of a visitor.

                                Have a great day, folks.
