        • Sun blazing down already and I don't mind. Big new batteries for the solar system all installed and charging away.

Off out to water now. Catch you all later. Have a great day.

                • Blazing sunshine and clear blue skies, trouble is the over night temperatures are set to plummet, it was 5 degrees inside the greenhouse last night, we have 1 degree forecast for tonight.

                      • Evening all,

stressful day yesterday with the car exhaust failing(the flexi bit just gave up). Couldn't source a replacement locally and ended up at Kwikfit in Aberdeen for what seemed like three and a half hours. That's because it was three and a half hours.

The part they sourced was a foot shorter than the original and waiting to have that resolved was what took up the time. I had to travel to Dundee later in the day as I was entered in the NVS Scottish Branch show there as well as judging in the Dundee show. Anyway, a fiver off two hundred quid got the car going again but I didn't get to bed this morning till almost one o clock.

Up at 6.00am again and at the show raring to go at 7.30am. Judging started at 8.00am and we got finished in time for the show opening at 10.00am. Phew. Spent most of the afternoon at the show and then had to stop for a kip in the car o nthe way home. I was totally kack.............. ermhhh exhausted.

Greenhouses watered at home and we had a Markies microwaved meal for tea. It was food, that's as far as I'm prepared to praise it.

Now watching masterchef I think. Not watching it really, it's just a noise in the corner.

                        • Good evening it has been nice today occasional big black clouds but no rain, did find it a bit cool in the shade. Have decided to remove the shelving from the greenhouse and make a large box for a raised bed within the greenhouse, which I will fill with a layer of soil then seaweed followed by a soil compost mix, if I move myself I could have it in place and planted with some veg over the winter, and looking for suggestions of what I could grow in this bed for (see post #1421) well now off to read a book at the rate I am going I might have it finished for Christmas
