Another heavy dew here this morning.
Amazing how quickly the grass has started growing again after weeks of inactivity! Looks like it'll need another cut in the next couple of days.
You still wearing frocks Flo ...or is Autumn officially here now?"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning Crew - Looks like a good couple of week weather, I'm hoping to get all my timber cut up and treated ready for making new beds on the new plot over Autumn / Winter.

So, a tiny bit of rain this morning but dry already. Sun shining now but feeling quite muggy for some reason. More rain on the way?
Anyway, off out with Mr Snoop this morning. He's off to the dentist and I'm off to buy veg. Must remember to buy onions - haven't bought any for years, so I keep forgetting. Last time I went to the veg shop, Mr Snoop was with me and was taken aback at the bill at the end. So he can see the value of a veg patch for himself now. Next year, next year...
Better go. See you later. Have a good day.

Just missed bus this morning. As it was nice and sunny and down hill I decided to walk down St James's Road in Purley for the first time since 1995!
At the top spotted a blue plaque on an art deco house. It was for Peter Cushing. Brought back memories of late night horror film sessions in Brighton over 40 years ago.
It's amazing what you miss from being a passenger in a car.Riddlesdown (S Croydon)

Evening all. Spent a few hours down the allotment moving fruit bushes from old site to my new one. Going to plant my strawberries tomorrow.
Have worked it out that I might run out of room next year with all the seeds I have bought . But have found out the plot I originally said yes to but then the kids said they preferred Mountain Goat Hill has come available again. It has an 8x4 greenhouse frame that I was told I could have. Would it be bad of me to have a plot for beans, potatoes, pumpkins, squashes and fruit. Then the much smaller plot for salad bits and greenhouse for toms.Something to think about but open to ideas and views.
Have a good evening everyonesigpic

Novicegrower. Not bad at all but, will you find the time to keep it all going.
Sounds like an awful lot of work.
Remember, gardening is meant to be a hobby.
You don't want to overdo it.
Good luck with it whatever you decide,
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Evening all,
day started off a bit iffie with cloud and threat of rain which never actually came but ended up really nice. It is definitely autumnal though. I had a day off from gardening and instead had a tidy up session at the side of the house which has become untidy of late. Got rid of quite a lot to the tip and moved a toad to the bottom of the garden where it should be .
Had spaghetti carbonara for tea and enjoyed it along with a glass of cyder.

NVG if you are feeling guilty about taking an other plot remember, it has become vacant again, so someone has tried it but is giving it up,if anyone else was wanting it they could have had it, and its better all plots are used rather than folk seeing them empty and thinking the ground could be used for something elseit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
