  • I'm sitting here watching Rambo III and just cringing. Does anyone else thing that "First Blood" was the best of the series and really they shouldn't have bothered making sequels?

To make it more bearable I'm having a JD for my birthday. So far I'm up to 1976. Please note that in 1976 I was 7 and not drinking JD. Far too expensive, I was on the dog.

      • Mornings

Another chilly night but only a few clouds, so hopefully it'll warm up soon. Yesterday I went into town to buy some varnish to finish my cupboards off, but all sold out. I've had to order some on-line *sigh*

A bit of housework and then maybe start on the new book as back a bit sore - sounds good to me.

        Have a good'un whatever you're up to

          • Good afternoon, raining here today, was up at Braehead to get a voucher for my nephew as its a significant birthday coming up, and I let OH treat me to a breakfast at the GC up there, now back home and having an look through a seed catalogue that had arrived in, is it that I am just noticing this now or are there more f1 seeds being pushed by seed companies now, or am I just being
            more cynical now
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

            • I've just lifted my last tatties and bagged them up, the plot is dug over and that will be the last time I dig that bit, going no dig on that plot now, I have a nice big compost heap to spread on it in the next few weeks. Need a rest now.

                • I have probably the best germination of seeds I've ever had. Trouble is, they never got planted out and are still in my kitchen. My garden was totally cleared earlier this year but I don't deal with hot weather very well. What chance do I have that I overwinter them including tomatoes and peppers.

                  • Morning all and what a lovely day it looks. A bit fresh but the sun's lighting the sky so it should soon start to warm up. Unfortunately it's back to decorating for me, we're doing the whole house, haven't really done much since the kids were little and the lad's 30 now so it was about ready

                    Enjoy your day

Probably could do with starting a new thread with that question, JanieB.

Been a bit absent recently due to lots of visitors. They've eaten pretty well all my tomatoes. Still, that's what they were for, I guess.

All good here (apart from issue over on rant thread). Nights are now getting very chilly. Pepper and aubergine plants have given up the ghost - the only tom plants still going now are the cherries (grown from hardy UK, not local, seeds). Dull here today, but no rain forecast.

Got work on the cards to catch up from visitors. But nothing too stressful and Mr Snoop has volunteered to make some toast for breakfast. So things looking quite positive so far today!

                            Have a good one, everyone.
