Morning all. Dry at the moment here but lots of rain forecast. Probably a day of domestics for me if that's the case. Enjoy your day whatever you get up to...
Mornin n'alln'all
Just a warm, light breeze here.
I really must collect the rest of those hazelnuts today!
Yesterday I collected pear windfalls and made a large Dorset apple cake type thing with some of them.
Think I might make another one to freeze.
Looks like another piccalilli day again too
I love having my shelves stocked up well (I think my kids do too as we always take loads of jams /chutneys etc back over with us!)
*desperatly ignores the ironing pile....
See ya later peeps!

Morning everyone, a tad blowy here
How are your shingles Nicos?
Got an unexpected day off today, so don’t know what Im going to do
House chores are looming I suspect
The last of our tomato’s are in the shed awaiting ripening
So our vegetable growing is officially shut down till Spring
Our flower growing on the other hand, is still going like crazy
Lovely to see
Have a great day everyone
Much improved ta....still feel generally unwell and very tired with it.
The continuous multiple 'wasp sting' feeling has settled into a 'darned good thrashing with a bunch of nettles'feeling now.
Because it's on my head I feel I have a hangover from hell on that side....but that too is settling.
I believe there is a vaccination against it happening again...might enquire...
Nasty ain't it?
Good morning all.
The storm is over and not s breeze after the devastation yesterday.
I do believe we are in for a wet day.
We are off to see the stage show Saturday Night Fever this afternoon so will probably stay in town for dinner.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Morning everyone.
A morning at home for me due to the wet weather. Managed to get weeding and weed suppressant fabric stuff down yesterday so that's plot one nearly sorted for winter. Plan to start weeding and chopping down stuff on plot two at the weekend.
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better Nanny and Nicos with your shingles.
Have a good day everyone.
Afternoon all, rain,at least it's nice and gentle,so hope it penetrates the ground better,am glad that wind has gone, have had to put the C H on,we feel cold,am still having chill out time, fairy tomoz, that will be 2 weeks ironing then,GIRLS the effects of shingles can last long after the rash has gone,so remember, just be good 2 yourselves you need it
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
Afternoon, spent the morning in the kitchen - bowl of cherry toms this time, cut them in half, cooked and put in bags for the freezer. Then cleaned cupboard doors, worktop and then the floor - tomato splats everywhere, so it had to be done.
Feeling a bit 'anyhow' now and I don't feel like doing much else, so may just give in and find a book or watch an old film on the telly
Enjoy the rest of your day..
Been raining heavily for the last couple of hours here, wish it would drown the rats. The Pied Piper has been today on his second visit, but nothing in the boxes, he can't understand why not. Hope they're full of dead ones next week.
Good afternoon, today had been a nice calm dry day but cool still not doing any gardening as I feel legs and shoulders need to be rested, have sowed some veg in the new bed in the greenhouse and now need to be patient and wait and see how they do, this is when if I knew how to iron I could do that to pass the time, but sadly my OH may feel put out if I did that right need to go as the boy's dad is coming in and I need to be fed
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
