Thelma-sounds like Mollycat would get on a treat with a Hibou!...I got 'breakfast ON bed ' first thing this morning...a dead vole

I intend pop over to a friend's book signing later on today -he's written a children's book. Always good to support peeps you know eh?
Then a visit to one Vide Grenier...the grass is sopping wet, but there is a warm, drying wind, so it should be OK later to have a wander around the outdoor stalls.
Breakfast first....cuppa anyone?

A big change in todays forecast no rain according to the met office, not sure if the woodland festive is on so anyone planning to go best ring to find out.
I've got my own cuppa Nicos thanks I've just finished of my oatcake, bacon, mushrooms and eggs

Bacon?...don"t talk about bacon!

I actually found some with rind on when we're were in the uk.
Managed to make crispy crackling, then made butties with it.
I saved a lovely piece of cracking on one side to suck and chew afterwards...then nipped to the loo.
When I came back, my plate was empty OH thought I'd left it and munched it himself (as if!!!!!)

He really is never going to live that down!

Good morning all. I woke up to torrential rain. The dogs ran for the door, dashed out and turned straight back in again. I had to chuck them out and shut the door on them.

So far today I've had an invitation to go with friends to Cyprus in November and had a good laugh at a link on another forum. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0bk1tw7 . Time to go get dressed methinks. I think I'll go visit my eldest today, I haven't seen him for nearly a month and he only lives 5 miles away. Maybe I'll get the youngest to join us. My daughter's in Canada visiting my step-mother.

Beautiful sunny morning although it's cool.
No rain forecast for today so it's looking good.
Just had breakfast in bed, bacon, egg, tomato and mushrooms and the Sunday papers.
Nothing planned for today.
Off to church and then daughter and granddaughter will call in for a visit.

^Have you seen you can get the mixture online for making your own bacon from pork belly (for streaky) or loin (supposedly back bacon)? Not the kind of thing you could take in your luggage unless you were in a car.

Not much going on here. Pretending to work but really looking up on Amazon for plastic containers for storing peas and the like in the freezer. I've got the open bag of frozen peas pegged up, but I just know that sooner or later the bag is going to split and there will be peas in the bottom of the freezer. I'd go to the nearby bazaar-type shop, but every time I go by they're shut. At least the post office (pick-up point) keeps regular hours.

Off out for afternoon tea later at the home of some other local Brits.

Talking of diets, I've lost over a stone now, but thanks youtube for showing me a video on making scones for just 1 person, did you have to do that?

Bet you can't guess what I'm now eating instead of a Co op bun haha - back to the diet tomorrow

Morning all,grounds wet,with sun doing her best,seed order all done,home tidy,having to be a bit carefull with my stupid shoulder,must have upset it when using the lump hammer,oh well,these jobs HAVE to be done,1 way or another,i have no regrets,rest,squeek and carry on,have a good day and Bgood2yrselves.

Suddenly gone very wet and windy here, so no vide Grenier or gardening for me
Looks like I might just have to do a bit of ironing...boo hoo.

Got a nice piece of brisket in the oven...going to make a Yorkshire pud to go with that ( seeing as I'm not dieting just at the moment)...and a windfall crumble.

Nowadays, unless it's an emergency local NHS commissioning boards don't like approving surgery for anyone with BMI over 25, so I'm now ready for weigh-in - just in case that is my only option

We've had sunshine all day still cool so I wrapped up while I gardened, managed to get lots done.

Good evening it has been a nice day here today Sun out but a bit cool, after church OH wanted to go for some cream to rub on her ankle (its been sore for the past week) I have told her to get to the doctor but would be as well talking to the wall before I had my knees replaced she nagged me constantly to go to the doc's, but that's different, or so she says, got the cream she wanted, went for a coffee then home where I went out to empty my baskets, so that's fifteen baskets cleaned out, giving me a tub of compost for growing potatoes in next year, if it is still nice weather tomorrow I will start clearing out the flower garden, plus I have still to finish off the boundary of the back grass, which I might do also, as I need some soil for filling my rubble bags, enjoy your evening and keep a smile on your face to pass on to others over the coming week

Evening everyone, what a wet day it has been. Tad of sunshine later on this afternoon
Daughter and GG came round and devoured the dinner hubby cooked for us.
I did do the apple and blackberry crumble. It was delicious, served with double cream
Weather looks nice and sunny for the most of next week, happy days
