Plenty of rain yesterday afternoon and last night. First bout of 30 litres fell in next to no time and ran off. But the later lot (making 73 litres in total) is soaking in a lot better. So, that's good. Could do with several times that, mind. Looking forward to seeing rivers with water in them again. Maybe the olive trees will perk up for a decent harvest. Getting a bit late for that, but any olives that are on the tree might fatten up.
On with the work today. Hope you all have a jolly day. Especially FF for being up so early.
Edited to add: rain measurements look a bit odd. That's 73 litres or mm per square metre, not the total!Last edited by Snoop Puss; 15-10-2018, 08:05 AM.

Good morning sitting at my daughters as the schools are on holiday here, its a nice bright dry morning what would be considered a lovely autumnal day ideal for the garden, and of course I cant get out to mine was out for a quick walk with the dog and picked up a log of hawthorn, which I will saw up for the fire, so thats something I can do up here, and as its for my fire in the greenhouse I wont need to split it as it can accommodate good sized logs, and glad to see you have had some rain Snoop, and that comment about fattening up the olives, I think that its applicable to humans also as we get a lot of rain here, and,it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mornings!
Up late this morning, unlike some lively people on here
Back sore again, so easy does it today - as it's drizzly it's not a plot day anyway, so don't feel to bad about it.
Probably do a bit of ironing, as needs must, and some sewing. All my jeans are too big now so need adjustments where necessary
Have a good'un

Good morni g all.
We have a beautiful dry sunny morning but just 3deg at the moment.
Off out to the park for a long walk and then to the library.
Hopefully out in the garden this afternoon.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning all, it’s raining and horrible here.
Hubby is giving me a lift to work later as I’ve accumulated a lot of ‘donations’ from our daughters house last night.
I also took home on Saturday someone’s craft stuff. Well I mean addiction really.
Trying to sort out what’s sellable and what isn’t, is such a headache
Taking the first lot up there today and try to create a ‘craft corner’
Wish me luck
Butternut, carrot, onion and red pepper soup on the cooker for lunch. Popped a bit of curry powder in, hoping for a bit of flavour
That’s me, have a nice day everyoneNannys make memories

Mornin n'alln'all
Hope to get the last of the apples picked and wrapped today before they become windfalls. Just not had the chance to collect them!
I cooked down and froze another 7 kilos of windfalls yesterday . Looks like we'll be eating loads over the winter.
Baking and finishing off preparations for our seedswap for me today. If I have a chance, I'd like to at least cut the front lawn before we go away on Friday.
Fingers crossed for you lottie! Hope you are chuffed with the results!
