Good evening, a mixed day today some heavy showers then a spell of dry, but haven't done any gardening wok ad we had the boy's again today, sadly they are back to school on monday
Two things today that makes me wonder why some people try to profit on others fears, the 1st. I got a letter in which told me that. Their records show I hadn't got my solar panels checked and my warranty could be due to expire ( it expired two years ago) I should contact their booking team FREE OF CHARGE (how much would their check cost me?) the it said, If I received my panels free through a third party or a lease agreement I should disregard the letter, surly if they have records it would indicate my name as the resident of the property, and if it was me who installed them. Google Earth shows a lot
The 2nd, when I came on line there was a notice saying 4 people had just unfriended me, I don't have 4 friends, it would cost too much if we went for a drinkit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I think the straw has to be barley straw to keep pond clear I used to use it to keep algae off my chooks water trough and it seemed to work ok but the chooks still managed to dirty the water!
No gardening for me today as I spent all day marking out and levelling a sloped bit of my garden ready to put a hut on it yesterday. I can hardly move today!
I seem to have found the remains of a dry stone wall under my Rhododendron which was long overdue a prune.
Shifted all the stone to the bottom of the garden where it will eventually become a retaining wall.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

Foggy here today, but the rain let up in the night. I moved the rain gauge to a spot closer to the house for ease of emptying, but I did it in a hurry and didn't quite position it right. So no real idea how much fell over the last 24 h, 40 mm collected but should have been a lot more. Anyway, at least 180 mm over the last few days. That's almost as much as all the rest of the year so far and not far off last year's total rainfall. Went out with the dogs this morning. The ground is soft but not that many standing puddles. So, all good.
Catch you guys later. Have a great weekend.

Good evening all.
What a beautiful day, temp got up to 28deg.
Spent the day playing pitch and putt in the sunshine and not even needing a jacket.
Hope everybody else had a good day.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Good evening, it has been a cold wet day today, OH was out with our daughter and granddaughter for a girls day out me I decided to finish off the stairs by changing the carpet, OH has been going on about it so that's it finished, wives just do not understand that these jobs cant be rushed, they need to be planned, OH just doesn't know why it took three years. Also got some garlic planted and lined my fire with some fire brick, had the fire on last night and it was glowing red hot so thought it better to provide a bit of protection and also fill in a potential air inlet as there is a small pipe at the bottom that I had plugged but for it to glow the way it was, there must be air getting in, right OH is now in need to go and see if she will make my teait may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
